Come July 20th and 21st, the [World’s First British Isles Fest](http://www.britishislesfest.com/) is going on up in Harveysburg. (That’s where they have the Ren Fest later in the year.) (And they really call it that: The World’s First British Isles Fest) (And they have a website, so you know it’s going to be a big deal.) (And yes, I COULD keep going with these parenthetical asides, but I think I’m done now.) So beat the heat of late July in Ohio by standing in it. You can also buy Guinness, and maybe drink it too, and buy stuff and play games and _Bad Haggis_ is performing. Did I mention Scottish Meat Pies? Tell me this doesn’t sound like fun. -Rue. ---

Pining, sprucing and mapling, **Puddin’**. And suuuure it (Ireland) is (part of the British Isles). There’s a little map on the back of the brochure I got and it definitely shows it all as one group. (Remember, this is a Meriken thing, geography and political orientation is all at our discretion. Heck, we can say FRANCE is part of the British Isles if we want. It’s just That Way.) -Rue. ---

Ireland is part of the British Isles, cos that’s purely a question of physical geography. Ooh, toad-in-the-hole! And Sam Smith beer. Unfotunately, the marketplace “shoppes” are billed as “quaint”. ---

Kinda funny, OKI stands for “Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana” (even though a lot of people may not know that) and the only people who said anything here are NOT from O, K or I. Maybe I should have thought about the title harder… …or maybe no one cares… -Rue. ---
