The weekend of November 17th, fellow Doper, **Verrain** will be in Oklahoma! I say it’s time to arrange another lunch at Joe’s or some other location. Or we could all go to the Dragon’s Lair, my favorite local strip bar. 😃 The Lair is not far from my apartment, so if you get drunk on overpriced drinks we can just walk back to my place and crash. I know I am outnumbered by OKC Dopers, but my car is acting weird and I don’t want to trust it for a drive to the City. I know I said, “count me in” in my intro post but the 17th is no good for me. By all means, go to your strip bar (or Joe’s or wherever) without me because with the holidays and the due date looming large, I’m pretty booked through to the Spring. But I want to see pix of all of y’all. Have a margarita (or 10) for me. mmm… ---

As a female doper who recently moved to Oklahoma I say, dayum why does it have to be the 17th? My Grandmother’s birthday is that night and we are having a family party, otherwise I would haul myself out to dope around! Oy. This thread is making me homesick for Tulsa. I’m living in Norman, working in OKC right now. It’s soooooooo ugly here. And flat. And windy. Norman does have a few pretty spots, but I miss Tulsa. Moving back there as soon as I graduate. (BTW, I’m a girl too!) ---

People, people! I think we can all pretty much agree that Oklahoma is not at the top of the Most Beautiful State list. Damn Scrub Oaks, dry prarie grass. 🙂 Anyway, this was to see if anyone was interested in meeting **Verrain** when he comes to town. The Lair was an option of something we could possibly do. Well OklaDopers, I have this to say to you all: get in your cars right now, drive to Stillwater, and meet the amazingly cool, **Arden Ranger**. You have a national treasure in your backyard, people! Now go visit! And bring lavish gifts! The lady’s time is valuable. 😃 I think I am addicted to the sweet peppered bacon Eskimo Joe uses, and barbeque beef does work on a pizza dammit! I got to meet Jr Ranger I, and must say she is her mother’s daughter. Look out world! There’s two of them! I also learned about the family’s rabid vaccuum cleaner. They may have to put it down. 😃 I also met Jr. Ranger II, and learned he has a very healthy set of lungs, and cheats at thumb war. **Arden** is the snuggliest of hosts. Highly recommended. Hope to catch the rest of you at a future Dopefest. Don’t wear orange. 🙂 ---
