I have one pretty one as jewelry, but it doesn’t really keep time. The other way around would be badder. But yeah, those letters are kinda surprising / unnerving when they show up. Happy news here! GF and I made our solid plans for the SF trip! One of her sisters had made some vague noises about queering that weekend too, and she stood up and said, “No, I’m going with BF that weekend, you do your own thing without me.” Made me very proud of her. Anyhow, in late September I’m flying out on a Fri to attend the Sunday memorial. Meanwhile she’s doing posse in Orlando Thu-Sun. Then on Tue she flies to meet me then we come back home together the following Tue. So we’ll have 6 full days plus two half-days there together. And I’ll have 3 full days and a half-day before that for family & whatever trouble I can get into in a big city. Air travel is all locked in and paid for. Hotels and activities are the next topic to tackle. This plan is a GO! Color me very excited. We’re going to try to have GF meet the family & vice versa; it’s mostly a matter of herding four busy households into a manageable number of get-togethers for everyone. All TBD; those folks have busy bordering on chaotic lives. And I don’t want to sacrifice all our us time and touristy activities to meeting one or another family clear across the city for a dinner or whatever. Yaay! My urban wildlife report is squirrels, rabbits, iguanas, egrets, ducks, geese, cormorants, and some red tailed hawks. Each seen pretty much daily. Sometimes we get white ibis too. I just went outside to look and right now we’re enjoying two groups of ducks totaling ~20 and two groups of geese totaling ~15. A couple days ago for the first time I saw a trash panda crossing the golf course. Mid morning so fully daylight. That was the Mother Nature excitement of the week. ---

Good visit with my daughter. Talked about times past and her current tax problems. If you ever find yourself with IRS problems DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE “OMNI TAX SOLUTIONS”. They took her money and then ignored her. Every time she called them she got a different person who was of no help or who was not a native English speaker. After jerking her around for months, she finally took my initial advice and called the IRS direct. This will hopefully be ironed out over the next few months. She was able to get a partial refund from OMNI but it was a complete waste of time and money. MY money, by the way. I was able to foist off some cat food that Sadie won’t eat, as her cat will eat anything. Had to have a nap afterwards. Interaction is exhausting. ---

And for appointments away from home I set them up with travel time included. So I get an alert at the time to get ready for the event to start at the time I need to leave the house. The actual appointment time or whatever is in the notes section. Back when I was working I’d know “Today is the 10th and I go to work on the 12th”. But whether those dates were Mon & Wed or Thu & Sat meant nothing to me. I was always surprised and annoyed to go out to dinner with wife and discover our planned restaurant was packed. WTF? Oh … It’s _Friday_. Neeeevvvveeerrrrr Mmmmiiinnnnddddd! ---

I forgot to mention this before, but **JtC** , I’m sorry for all the nonsense and pain that you’ve been dealing with. I don’t think I ever answered **pilot** , but our school is strictly 9-12. And, yes, I have decided that I’m done working for the evening. I have literally done the best that I can with the information that I have. If I did more, I’d have 25x the anxiety that I have now. So, I’m off to play some meaningless games. ---

Dinner was foraging for leftovers, now that its summer I get too wiped out after an afternoon at the capital. Hubs said that there was a hard bird strike on the living room window so I went outside and scribbled on it with a yellow hi-liter. Then I went around back and got the dining room window as well. I’ll put that on the “do on the first of the month” chore list for now and see how it goes. I don’t like the look of the cross hatch trim on all of the windows in the neighborhood, so we didn’t get them. Now I know why everyone has them, they would probably really help the birds see the glass. That stoopid buck is looking out the forest again. I’m going to ask Hubs and Harry about rigging up a remote controlled air horn on a gate post. ---

There is a semi-busy two lane highway between the forest and our yard. The buck keeps acting like it wants to run over here and eat my tomatoes. I would be willing to share my tomatoes but deer are stoopid and don’t look both ways before running out on the road. ---

He had lakefront property less than a half mile from the farm and he kept a couple of small boats, poles and nets. Got the last load of laundry at this address done today, took cleaning supplies to my neighbor behind me and took out some trash. It’s getting down to bare bones now. Likely Tuesday afternoon, I’ll turn my divided wooden box that I’ve used as a night stand for 9 years down to fill it with odds and ends of the move. Then, I’ll fill up a week’s worth of meds to take with me. I’ll keep the rest out and put them in a bag to take in the car before I leave. I still need to bag up the outer wear for both me and Nelson to tuck in the car as a space filler. I know that I’ve said it before, but I want this over. ---

Howdy Y’all! I deheathenated, OYKW declined to do so today, and spent the rest of the day in high RDOS inactivities. I did manage to make chef sallits which we et for an early sup. A new season of Wednesday is on Netflix, so we watched an episode.The biiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Thus is the news from swampland. ---

I cleaned. I dusted and vacuumed. I cleaned Spot’s box, took out the trash and recycling, sewed on two shirt buttons(and Snoopy’s head). I recorded 2 of my LPs to my computer. I also did 2 load of laundry. Goodness, it’s been 9 hours and I have a lot of catching up to do. Dinner was good, exercise was tedious and sweaty but ok, evening sammiches hit the spot and I am now relaxing with nothing else planned for the night. Do need to get some soccer administrative stuff done and some messages out for this week’s activities, but nothing too strenuous. Still 84F at 7pm here, so not much cooling down. I scroll, I scroll, it’s off to read I go… **FCM** , some Fall family travel; not a bad idea. We have a couple dozen geese that hang out in a small lake next to the soccer park, occasionally we have to duck (snerk) some low-flying takeoffs or landings but outside of occasional goose-poops on the fields the people and the geese seem to coexist fairly peaceably. Strip #1 was posted on 14 Sep 2007 to meet a challenge from Shamus Young, who was just finishing up _DM of the Rings_, a screencap comic treating the three _LotR_ movies as a role-plating game. David Morgan-Mar, who does _Irregular Webcomic!_, and a bunch of friends from work started at the beginning of _Episode 1_; have since done episodes 2-8, _Rogue 1_, _Solo_, and the _Muppet Show_ episode with Luke and the Droids; and are now somewhere in the middle of _Episode 9_, with a party that’s expanded to include six players. I’ve been following along since they posted the first strip, and it’s been great fun. Jar Jar makes much better sense as the creation of an eight-year-old girl playing her first RPG. 😃 (Which eventually leads to the line “Jar Jar – you’re a genius!”) ---
