# (Old) A New Hope in the MMP

Gyoza is the Japanese word for Chinese dumplings.

It comes from WWII when the Japanese occupied China and became familiar with _Jiaozi_ which is the Chinese pronunciation.

Chinese dumplings can be in soup or fried but gyoza are always fried. My Taiwanese wife prefers the not fried version.
