Seriously, I do relate to the “is he going to _ever_ come home?” panic. Buddy pulled a four-day walkabout on me a few years ago. Is Spot chipped?

**doggio** , great news and hopefully Spot has used up his roaming time clock and will stay at home from now on.

Back from the gym, it’s interesting (well, at least to me) that I went to the gym feeling…not unwell, just not feeling like doing anything and figured it would be a quick day, instead spent nearly 3 hours and 1,500 calories and feel much more alive now and not tuckered out at all. Bodies be weird… Have put about 2/3 of those calories back on but that should be all for the evening, scale showed 202.2lbs today, we’ll see what it reads tomorrow. Garbage bin is out at the curb and dishes will be put away before bedtime (how much before bedtime has yet to be determined).

**Nut** , good planning, drink enough and any clothes will look good on you…

**FCM** , sometimes in take awhile to get back into the swing of doing stuff (like working with clay). Give it time, it’ll all come back to you, I’m sure.

**Nellie** , I never liked Twinkies either (creme-filled chocolate cupcakes, on the other hand…) and prefer Frosted Flakes when I’m in the mood for a sugar overdose.

**Hippie** , looking forward to seeing the final results. I’m sure it will be amazing.

**Knots** , happy news for the old eyeballs, may they continue working well.

**Cat Glove** , you may never know the true story (I suspect your surmise is pretty close to the truth). Enjoy your strudel. I’ve done I-75 from Detroit to Atlanta, so still have a ways to go. Glad both the lunch and the ticket exchange went well.

Anyways, Roomie and I got to meet the upstairs neighbors. I’m having a martini to celebrate, and for some liquid courage, since _somebody_ needs a bath. Dinner tonight is chicken and cavatappi with homemade sauce and spinach, olives, and garlic.

ETA: It’s 10:00p.m. EST, and Spot is hiding. So no bath tonight. Also he’s defaulted to factory mode fo the movement(hiding, not speaking)

Yay!

The infusions were finally delivered…at 1930. Yeesh!

I found out today that my youngest cousin on Mom’s side is in pretty bad shape. He’s only about fifty, but has had one heart attack already. Now a lot of his organs have shut down. According to his daughter, the priest was called for last rites. He’s expecting his first grandchild in five more months. Anyone who has some good vibes, prayers or such, please keep him in mind.

Quite windy out there tonight. Tossing Monkey a few treats to chase & contemplating dinner … probably will nuke a frozen butterchicken’n’rice, but I do have eggs & fresh sammich bread. (Made a One Eyed Jack last night after far too long without, and oh yummmm.)

Another quiet shift.

It was me, another girl, and **S.M.** and we all smoke.

On quiet nights, and frankly on hectic stressful nights too, we kinda rotate through smoke breaks one at a time, so everyone gets a chance to go outside and chill a bit. (On nights the minors or non-smokers work, we likewise let them take a few minutes to sit, be on their phone, etc. Fair’s fair.)

Anyway, at one point tonight, **S.M.** (who clearly wanted a smoke break herself) piped up with:

We were all amenable.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 80 and sunny. No biggie plans for the day, so the usual RDOS sloth shall prevail. Sup will be the po’ folks version of beef Stroganoff (made with ground beast), sallit, and rolls. Borin’, but it’ll eat.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.
