> [@Misnomer](#): > > Speaking of Lego, the small Books Are My Passion set arrived on Tuesday: I put it together that evening, in less than an hour. I looked at picture, and my immediate response was, “Want”. Looked it up and it’s a bit more pricey than expected, as it is a GWP. According to the price history on the website (local equivalent of Amazon), it would have been ⅓ the price in October. So I’m not buying it, but at least I get to look at the picture of the one you did. > [@JaneDoe42](#): > > He is doing SO much better. He was able to put his socks on without getting winded and has commented several times on how much better he feels. Yay! Glad Jolene’s got her man back. > [@scareyfaerie](#): > > Weather app says “Sure it could be fucking warmer outside, but you could also have snakes in your fucking toilet. Count your fucking blessings.” With the Year of the Snake starting Tuesday, you might want to check again. Who knows where they might show up. > [@dogbutler](#): > > \*Tradition: peer pressure from dead people Seems to be the type of people who should be ghosted. > [@The\_Stainless\_Steel\_Rat](#): > > Was going to go to the gym afterwards to do walkies, but felt rather tired so came on home. Sounds like a good idea, especially since you had coaching to do later. All that work you’ve done in the last 2+ years is probably paying off now, but don’t rush it too much. > [@FairyChatMom](#): > > I’m about to resume crocheting while watching the next murder on _Death in Paradise_. My mom was raving about that program. They just got Britbox in the last month, which is good because it gives them something else to watch, especially after football’s over. I just checked and it’s on Disney, so I’ll add it to the watch list. For those of you with really cold temperatures and snow, you’d probably be a bit jealous of our almost 60°F (15°C) weather yesterday. The weather people are blaming the storm up in England for our warm temperatures. Weather’s weird. We got our new sheets, duvet and pillows on Wednesday/Thursday last week. And we rotated the mattress and washed the mattress cover and laundry basket inserts. Plus the normal laundry meant that there were 8 loads of laundry over 2 days. And 2 5-mile (8 km) walks. I need a weekend to recover from the weekend. --- _[View the full topic](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/old-alexa-start-the-mmp/1013150)._
