Since it was before cell days, the only way my boss had to contact me was to call me from where ever he was to the number of the store I was working. So…if someone didn’t leave a message a couple of times I would answer. “Pizza place, this is Jane, unless you are Boss, we are closed.” “Well, why did you answer then?” (Happily Boss loved me enough to let me be a jerk to idiots, plus at that time his were the only places that delivered so he was a big frog in a little pond.) And then after that stopped working, they would start with the roids…and that was when I would go floozy elsewhere cause I saw real roid rage once and that was enough. I went to the Rec Center today thinking that I could maybe take my braces off and just bob around in the water for a while but I could hear the littles screaming from the parking lot so I just signed in (they get a few pennies from Medicare every time I do that) and left. (I don’t hate kids, but when three or four of them get started the echos start amplifying the noise. I think it is good for children to be swimming and playing and growing up healthy, so if I am such a special snowflake that I can’t take their noise, I am the one who needs to figure things out. I will try again earlier next time.) Ready to start sewing… tomorrow. I need to make sure I do seams in the correct order - ends first, then the pockets for the aluminum strips. I used to read GoComics every day, but since they’ve changed and I can no longer have my own little selection without paying, I guess I’ll quit reading the comics. It is a very long story and I am far too old to get upset when she does everything for my sisters and expects me to do everything for her and them. Very long and boring story and I will get over it soon, but it is really hard for me to remember my place in her world when she treats me so nice most of the time. And then she does shit like this that just slaps me in the face. I really do wish I could stitch my frets away. I took my brace off and tried to hold a needle and it hurt but if I get drunk enough, it might not hurt so much then and just a little stitching would help settle my thoughts. ---

I agree, but once I got out of the habit of buying shiny things from amazon, I kinda got out of the habit of buying online at all. We don’t need more stuff. Our stuff is perfectly serviceable despite not being the newest and latest. Chewy delivers our pet food on schedule but most of our needs are filled locally nowadays. Tomorrow we are going to the dispensary and to the distillery as well as getting lunch at a pretty good Mexican place. We like living small town, just got out of the habit of buying local during covid. On that small town note…the Martins have come back! Everyone misses them when they are gone and now there are big shiny black/blue birds swooping all over the place. There are two confirmed Flying Squirrel pups in the nest and it is suspected that there is a different nest with pups as well. I’m now officially drunk so please ignore anything else I type tonight…but tell me to put the needle down. Like I"m going to listen to that… ---

Had my yearly physical. Dr. doesn’t know why I like to start sentences by leaving out I. Everything was good-magnesium, potassium, sodium, blood sugar ( this from eating cake before my blood work), cholesterol. She gave me referrals to get a mammosquish, bone density, colonoscopy. I do have a sking tag by bra line thats uncomfy, going to ask the derm to remove it. I feel well enough to get my first covid booster ( its been 4 years). She told me to get a pnemonia one. She checked my gyno recent pap trst. A few irregular cells she thinks may be from last years colposcopy ( not going to get another one). No HPV! Woo hoo. Abstinence rocks! ---

Howdy Y’all! First, lest there’s worry we starved today, we did geezer sup (four p.m.) at the not too shabby Chinese hog trough buffet just cause. In other news, the candle crisis was averted and we did a little clean/straighten up of the Sacristy. That took all of forty five minutes. Had a little convo with child Priest and other Verger whilst there. I agreed to do a readin’ for the Vigil of Easter, which will be hosted at one of the other Episcopal churches in town. There are three churches and each church takes turn as host. I get to read the partin’ of the Red Sea. I was hopin’ for the valley of dry bones cause it’s fun to read, but oh well. Also CP lent me a book entitled “A Priest’s Handbook: The Ceremonies of The Church.” Why yes, it is as rivetin’ as it sounds. A thrill a minute page turner! OK, it’s a thing a church nerd like me finds fascinatin’. ---

Evening all. Did make it to the gym for a short time, then came home and changed and coached soccer…with 6 year old boys… I forgot how hard it is to train kids with attention spans that can be in the micro-second range, but I kept them busy for 75 minutes and the parents seemed grateful, so a good day. Then home for the usual 2sDay Mac-n-Cheese and am now sitting quietly as that assimilates. Nothing else planned, still waiting to hear from the tile installer and confirm the wall repair handyman will be here tomorrow, but closer to having the house back to normal. 64F outside so a good night sleep should be in the offing… **Hippie** , those are wonderful pictures, thanks for sharing. **{{Pavo}}**. I watched my dad decline slowly from the man I knew and loved to someone who didn’t know who i was…old age can be a real bastich… **nellie** , pop in and drivel anytime. Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 6c/43f with a predicted high of 15c/60f and sunny. Weather app says “This weather is fucking awesome. Sort of like a random stranger telling you about a fucking upcoming speed trap.” Really? The old one kind of lent itself better to an employee completing it - it’s based around a set of values and behaviours, you have to evidence how you’ve demonstrated those, and provide examples. Then your line manager adds to it and provides their own comments. It was an absolute pain to complete, but it worked. Yesterday I irked, then logged off and made campus breakfasts for two days as I’ve got Friday off. Lunch today is with my friend so no need for food, and I will probably cook something tonight that will generate enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Fed the cats, cleaned the litter trays, had a conversation with Muffin (I talked, she growled), had dinner and some sofa time with Blossom. I heard some growling in the night, I know Cherry was on the bed with me so I think possibly Blossom got into Muffin’s room and they’ve seen each other. I had left the door slightly ajar to let some air in, must have been just enough that Blossom could shove her way in. I’m out of the house all day so I’ve pulled the door closed a bit more in the hope that Muffin will get a quiet day to adjust a bit more. Pub tonight with my friends, we are all fit enough to be out and about so that will be nice. I haven’t seen them for about 3 weeks after illness and their holiday got in the way. It’ll be good to catch up with them again. Staff reviews are written, I have my review meeting with the ADHD Squirrel this morning so perhaps I’ll actually get a clue on how these perishing forms are meant to be completed!
