For Tuesday, it seems rather Moanday. Went back to bed before DH left, needed an extra few hours. Between heartburn and his snoring, first wakeup was much too early. Got up to DH having texted me that he got rear-ended. He claims the Jeep barely noticed this, but sent a photo of the other vehicle (Honda, further details unknown as yet) with the front bumper torn off. He has not as of right now responded to texts asking for more info, but he IS at irk, so is probably busy. I’ll probably have to wait for his break or lunch for more details. At least I haven’t been summoned to collect him from an accident site or meet him at a medical facility. ---

He’s texted a bit of further info. Minor bumper damage and one of the rear parking sensors will need replacement. Our insurance company is VERY good at chasing down the other driver for damages if necessary (I am a little concerned about the apparent expiration date on a photo of the other driver’s insurance card). ---

After work I picked up some probiotics because, while digestion issues are getting better, my stomach’s not quite right. Mowed the grass and picked 5 more raspberries. Hubby will get them all, as I’ve decided for a bland food evening, to balance out the curry wurst and french fries for lunch. I yonked up all but one 'mater plant. I was amazed at how many grape 'maters were on the ground under the plants. I was also surprised at how shallow the roots were. That explains why they got so droopy so fast. Next year I know better what to do. And next year I won’t be surprised to find random 'mater and cuke plants popping up in the woods where I dumped the plants and rotted veggies. MIL’s nurse came today since yesterday was a holiday. She said all the things we’ve been dealing with are typical of end of life. No predictions, but she seemed to stop short of saying the end is close. MIL is sleeping 20 hours or more a day, hardly eating, and frequently talking to those who have died. There’s truly nothing to be done but keeping her comfortable. So we watch and wait… ---

Howdy Y’all! Been a strange but good weather day here. High in the low 80s (Amurrkin!) and cloudy all day. Provisions got procured. I had a successful run to Sam;s and got burgers and fries from Jack’s for N.O.L. Nappage and day drinkin’ were also accomplished. In a little while 'twill be Netflix, chill, and popcorn time. **Six** welcome! I am glad my Amurrkin temps amuse you. I live to amuse. Ok, and sometimes to dismay, alarm, and spread too much TMI. **Sticky\_Buns** glad Annie is less itchy. I have considered a lift chair in the past. One day I might. **Shoe** I did indeed by disposable snot rags whilst at Sam’s. **Nettie** first off, glad DH was not hurt. Also glad the damage to the jeep is minor. My insurance company is also great about that. Other insurance companies best beware cause if’n I have to, I will sick Elizabeth (my favorite agent) on 'em. You don’t want to mess with Elizabeth! **MOOOOOOM** yep, sounds like y’all are in watch and wait mode. BTDT. ---

And hope you’re doing OK, headaches like that can be pretty miserable. **Sticky Buns** , good luck on the chair-shopping. **shoe** , you’re probably right on the glass reasons, in there with plastics and metal and cardboard/paper the chances of getting mixed together and messing things up is high. **doggio** , was probably hedge trimmers, but with some of the mosquitos I’ve seen, wouldn’t want to bet on it… Given the latest discussions, I guess I know who the MMP is rooting for in the Army-Navy game this November… **FCM** , keeping a death watch is not the nicest place to be, I just hope it ends peacefully and with some dignity for her (and you/ **FCD’s** sake. That is the mystery - why was it stuck in there and is there significance to 14? Or is some neighbor kid just screwing with me? Not that I know any of the neighbor kids - I don’t stand out on the lawn shaking my fist at them. Weird. Just weird. Weirder still, I got a medical bill and no means to pay it on line. Who requires a check to be mailed in 2024?? Apparently my cardiologist does. Or I can call and give them the payment info over the phone. I think I’ll spring for the stamp and mail it. I think I know where my checkbook is… ---

Like, where you write “I am at such-and-such business, and I owe such-and-such money, please take this piece of paper stating …” and just hand that over? Yeah, no. We wound up having to use a check at CarMax when we bought the Jeep in June (we very rarely use checks any more, but the checkbook lives in my wallet anyway). They did need me to show them the banking app with my current checking balance, which wasn’t unreasonable IMO, since we were paying for the purchase up-front with no financing and the credit union couldn’t wrangle transaction limits to allow card use. I think a wire transfer would have been the next option. ---

**doggio** - OCS is also for college grads who didn’t go the ROTC route but want to become officers. It was the equivalent of boot camp for them.
