I use a good mild soap like Cerave or Neutregena. The eye doc also suggested using a drop of tear free baby shampoo on wet cotton balls to’ scrub’ my eyelash area once a day, which helps keep those lubricating glands unstuck. Used a drop at a time a bottle of tear free baby wash lasts a long long time. Just to make things simpler I started using the baby wash for the whole face wash too. The doc also recommended an over the counter eye drop to use if the blepharitis flared up again so another doctor wouldn’t be necessary. It is called **Pattaday** (brand name) and you need only one drop once a day. The relief is really quick. It’s expensive for an OTC, about $22 a bottle but it sure beats a doctor visit and prescription drops which were priced over $200 out of pocket. I love the warm rice sock and have made friends several. Great way to use (upcycle) orphan socks. To make it easy I close it with a small zip tie and trim off the tail. A small rice sock kept in the freezer is great for headaches or migraines. A squeezed out washcloth zapped in the microwave for 15-30 seconds is easy too. We’ve kind of become the Confraternity of Blepharitis. Do we get cool sashes, medals and swashbuckling swords? What’s our heraldic shield look like, you artistic, creative Mumpers out there? ---

I keep forgetting I have a wound. I wash my hands a lot. Maybe more than normal, but I don’t know. I’ve tried to be careful, and blot my hands dry instead of rubbing the towel on them, but I forgot again, and started bleeding; so another day of an adhesive strip. I don’t know if I did it drying off from my shower, or drying my hands after putting dishes in the dishwasher. Probably the latter. Sis called. I need to go to the credit union tomorrow and transfer funds. Also, the toxic person she got rid of a few years ago has been back for about a year. ---

Our Rite Aid store is now a CVS. There was a message Tuesday saying something about my medication B-A-R, or maybe it’s V-A-R needs to be refilled. I have no idea what they’re talking about. I left a message today, and someone called me back. She said it might be a very old prescription in my file and I can just ignore the message. ---

I saw a post of Farcebook, showing a woman sitting on the floor surrounded by (as stated) Tupperware containers. The woman’s father-in-law sent two microwave oven-sized boxes of them to her husband, because FIL thought MIL had too many containers. So I looked in the cupboard. I have six 4.5 x 5-inch Tupperware containers that I got from dad… and four lids. I remember in the '70s and '80s that the corners of the lids would sometimes split, so that must be what happened to the missing ones. ---

Tomorrow should be inneresting. We’re going to move 2 exhibits from the warehouse over to the museum to be ready to install Moanday. The “lighter” one weighs 300 lbs, and is a thing that looks kinda like the robot from the Day the Earth Stood Stil, and spins around on a vertical axis complete with internal gongs. One of [these.](https://www.richter-spielgeraete.de/en/street-musicians-made-of-stainless-p3887/) I convinced the CNC to drill 178 holes in a piece of plastic in a nice grid. Still have 218 to go in two other pieces of plastic, then I have to install little metal pegs into each of those holes. Oddly this is what I want to do at work, rather than muck around dealing with meetings and contractors. ---

It _is_ surprising that so many of us are dealing with this, isn’t it? In my case, I’m only mildly afflicted, but it was still an unpleasant surprise the first time I had to help my eyes to open with fingers. It only took a few rice sock sessions to put things right, but an ounce of prevention, eh? And I’m still hoping to join the Confraternity of Blepharitis – you are so clever! I think we should have tiaras. You are also clever to have upcycled your orphan socks with rice for friends! I’m going to do the same. **shoe** , I hope the lighting issues are fixed soon. SIL warned me the kitchen was a mess. It was disgusting, but it only took me about 30 minutes to get the dishwasher loaded and started and hand-wash the rest and clean the stove and the counters. Then after got both kids, I put them to work clearing the living room floor then vacuuming. What a difference! Roxy ate a huge supper, Tobias ate a lot of grapes and 3 raviolis. I just put him to bed and Roxy gets 45 minutes more. But it’s quiet, so yay! We meet Otis on Tuesday. Neither of us think he’s a full blooded Irish Wolfhound. I’m inclined to think he’s a large terrier mix - maybe Airedale? Anyway, we shall see. Three more hours here unless SIL gets off early. ---

Thursday Date Night, and we’re stuffed with Mexican food. Mi Esposa had a Hawaiian margarita. It was ‘OK’, but not great. I, of course, had the Grande Cadillac margarita. Actually, I had two. Mi esposa had a regular margarita, and said it tasted like toilet water. So I drank hers as well. Tomorrow I get my knees X-rayed, I need to go to the credit union to disburse funds, and I need to pick up some sauce (rye, cognac/brandy, and gin). Mrs. L.A. invited Immigration Support Protest Woman to dinner Saturday, so I’ll get some garlic-pesto salmon from Costco. Probably yellow squash on the side. ---

Time for the late-night final. Soccer practice got cancelled, the skies were clear but the amount of rain the past couple of days left the fields unusable according to the Parks and Rec folks, so watched some TV and put the dishes away, then after my grilled ham-n-cheesers got et, got down to doing some serious slothage. Have the tackleball game on Amazon prime open in another window but not particularly interested in it. Temperature is down to 70F and dropping, so off with the AC and up with the windows. **Taters** , glad you (finally) made it. **Cookie** , glad your hearing is still in good enough shape to not require hearing aids. **shoe** , sounds like a short in the door…sounds like the ownership does what it must do and that’s all. Hang in there. **flyboy** , hope the hand heals up. The back of my hands seemed to be permanently bruised and/or bleeding, but just looked and everything seems to have healed itself up…for the moment. And hope sister is keeping her distance from toxic person, or did you mean to indicate he’s back in her life? As for tupperware, I have a few pieces (probably not name-brand) but some of them I haven’t used in years, am eating out of one (baby carrots) as i type this. **VanGo** , interesting exhibit, will it be a ‘hands-on’ type of item or just does it thing naturally? I made it to GS-13 after 20 years, which is about as high as you can go in Government without getting into a manager/supervisor position. Never tried to move up the rest of my career, I knew what I was comfortable doing. And that’s all for Thorsday. Got my shopping list read for Firday, with room to add an item or two if needed. That’s my Moxie sleeping in my purse, with one velvet paw reaching out to stay in contact with my bare leg. Sleeping in my purse is a first but then it is quilted, soft and cave-like. Now she just moved that paw to curl over her sleeping nose. I hope she’s done sleeping by the time I need to leave the house tomorrow. If not, I can get by with the keys hanging by the door and Apple Pay on my phone…..
