teleute12, I used to do a lot of IT work for my local fire brigade and picked up a thing or two. Please consult a professional sooner rather than later. You have not indicated what sort of extinguisher it is. They are often colour coded. In the UK, plain red is water, black is CO2, blue is powder, and yellow is foam. All have a compressed gas charge. Having an extinguisher accidentally go off is no joke.
