Happy Sunday! Happy Father’s Day! It is a beautiful day, warm, N.O.S., slight breeze. It’s been a slothful day, lots of falling asleep in the chair for me. I try to spend time outdoors with the GR too. The more time they spend outdoors, the more they romp and play and wear themselves out. I like birch beer **Swampy**. That and sarsaparilla, which I think is banned, are hard to find nowadays. What holiday is tomorrow? You’d think growing up where I did, I would know a lot about boats. There was a question on Jeopardy once (or maybe Win Ben Stein’s Money). What County in the US has the most waterfront property? Anne Arundel County, MD. I know next to nothing about boats. I agree that SIL can be confusing. I don’t like meds that mess with my head. The Tramadol makes me sleepy and a little dizzy, but it wears off after a bit. I’m tired and coming up on my bedtime. ---

Im impressed that anyone gets any relief from Tramadol. After surgery, I gave up and just took lorazepam instead. ---

I had a lovely bowl of Trader Joe’s ravioli wi4h ricotta and lemon zest filling, topped with lemon-olive oil and followed by a bowl of blueberry-lemon sorbet. ---

Happy Father’s Day to all who celebrate. The piece Mom and I are working on now comes with a map and pretty good directions. I’ve been helping her as I can. Mom is the one who taught me to do counted work all those many years ago. She paid the designer over a hundred bucks to trace the map on the canvas and still managed to do a large square in the wrong place. My heart hurts. ---

Howdy all. Fairly dull afternoon, called brother to wish him a happy Father’s Day and chatted for a bit, then went to watch the Huntsville FC (it’s a ‘minor league’ soccer team for clubs in the Major Soccer League that sponser them). They won 2-0 over Miami II in front of about 4,900 fans, which for N.Ali-bama isn’t bad at all. Got home in time to see the last hole of the US Open and have the USA\_Canada Nations Championship soccer game on (In Spanish, can’t find it in English). All in all not a bad slothful Sunday. Have read all but too tired to respond, so will try to do better on the next MMP, where I will see y’all. Take care now. ---

I was a grip on _[The A-Train](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1728677/)_ (1997). I drew the sailboat on the chalkboard that appeared in the titles. I’ve submitted an edit to IMDb to include me in the credits. The story is about a young girl who grew up in New York, but her family moved back to Greece. She dreams of going back to the only home she knew, and builds a boat (called _The A-Train_) to sail from Greece back to New York City. [spoiler] She is eventually convinced that she belongs with her family in Greece. ---

**Fathers Day** I thought I would make a great dad. I think I’m somewhat intelligent, and I think I have some good genes. I think I have a lot of knowledge, and I think I’d have a lot to teach. Alas, it is not to be. I’m too old for offspring. Even if I weren’t, I think my post-menopausal wife is not – and has not – been fertile. So I am the last of my line. Yes, I’ve had a few drinks. ---

My mother’s line ends with a tidy set of women. In the generation above her, 2 of 5 reproduced (one died young); in her generation, she was 1 of 4; my sister and I are the only people in our generation on that side and neither of us have had chidren. ---
