I’m 54, and in the poll already. For me, the math is always easy. Since my birthday is barely a week into the year, it’s pretty much always after my birthday during any given year. I just have to subtract birth year from current year and that’s my age. It is getting to be a rather larger number than I’m used to, somehow. 🙂 ---

I must be getting senile. Just found this one. I’m 65 until July. I get my first social security check in April. Body doesn’t work quite as good as it did a few years back, but I’m still in pretty good health. ---

Just turned 53, and voted in this poll…but I have no memory of voting in the “What year were you born” poll even though my name is on that list. Sigh. It’s not age, truly. Just working a lot of hours and dealing with a mom in a nursing home temporarily. ---

There are at least four threads dealing with ages that I know of going on currently. I have been monitoring all of them to collect all the names for Dopers over 49, either with stated ages or with years of birth. I have been posting comments and occasional lists of names in these four threads. (For a list of those threads, check my posts in Sampiro’s thread.) I’m planning to post as complete a list as I can get – of Dopers over 49 – by the time this thread gets to 101 posts (next page) or when it has gone three days with no activity. [This link to Sampiro’s thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=12221309&postcount=11) has the ongoing threads dealing with Dopers’ ages and birth years where I have posted some forms of summary data. Sadly, no two of those lists have the same names and data. I’m trying to consolidate all of that for a later posting here. This is the thread I started, so it seems the likely place to put the summary even if the names on the summary didn’t originate here. As I have stated several times, my main concern in all these threads is to identify as best I can the Over 49 Dopers. I just _know_ there are more of us than have shown up in these threads! Bottom line: if you’re over 49 and have posted to any one of these threads saying such a thing, I have tried to get your name and age/birthyear (or both) into the ultimate summary. Stay tuned! ---

One more thing: I have validated the list above with the “Who Posted?” listing as of post #76 and the list is just for people posting in this thread. Other lists that I have posted in the other threads have data from other sources. Please let me know if this is still unclear. ---
