Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 17c/63f with a predicted high of 20c/67f and mostly cloudy. Weather app says “This fucking weather is weak sauce.” # 🎂 🥳 **Belated happies, nellie** 🥳 🎂 I am back at work this week, working from home for two days before the trauma of commuting to campus with the schoolies and students. It’s welcome week, so lots going on and of course everyone wants to have their departmental meetings as well. I’m hoping for a quiet couple of days to get caught up with all the new stuff that’s been happening while I’ve been off, and I have apparently got a load of emails hanging around with my name on them so I’d better get on with it. There’s always room for some bearcam on the screen though! ---

We’ve got 68 Ferrets and overcast, heading to mid-70s with rain this afternoon. I need to go to the boat and paint the V-berth. There’s not a lot to be painted, so theoretically it won’t take very long. We shall see. That’s pretty much all on the agenda. The wet dog food is being delivered today, the kibble order from Chewy is due tomorrow. I probably should order cat kibbles, too. So a bit of excitement there. Morning all. Up about 6:30am and we’ll see what the day delivers (according to the weather wizards, another day in the 90’sF and a a chance of a shower). Outside of the usual Moanday shopping and sammich run, not much on the agenda for today, so will work on my indoor conditioning (be it Gym- or Air-…). It’s supposed to cool off later this week, if you find high temperatures of 82F cool. We’ll see what else it brings. **doggio** , I may have to cast a ballot or two when that site opens up, 910 looks rather healthy and I’ll take a flyer on the 132 Family. **scudsucker** , I still have trouble adjusting when people spell it ‘fibre’ and not ‘fiber’…just American hardheadedness… **Shoe** , lovely story, I usually catch up on the Not Always Right website before coming here and your stories are at least as good as theirs. **boo fae** , the only bad thing about travel is coming home to work…so just think of it as one day closer to retirement… **swampy** , have fun solving the world’s problems tonight. **FCM** , I have Sherwin Williams and so far no problems in the past several years. Of course I probably don’t scrub spots as often as you do… And that’s it for Moanday morning. A couple hours and I’ll do the Kroger-Wal-Mart-Jersey Mike’s run and see what the rest of the day brings. Good morning. It’s 50F and cloudy. We’ll have morning fog and clouds, with a mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon, and a daytime high of 69F. **Red** , yay for being home AND having the energy to take care of some household stuff! **Shoe** , it’s too bad the ringer can’t be turned off after hours, but I get it. I’ve always used Behr paint and haven’t had issues with it. Semi-gloss or satin do seem to take longer to harden, though. I mainly use flat. **BooFae** , I hope your day is smooth and free of interruptions and urgency. My son hung around until mid-afternoon yesterday, although he did take some time to get a haircut and make a trip to Costco so he could shop without worrying about Zeus. He brought us back chicken bakes from the takeout counter for lunch. We all hung out a while longer, and then he packed up his stuff and Zeus and headed home. Once he left, the pups crashed hard, and this morning, both the pups are under my desk as I type. I’ll need to putz around in the yard. I have weeds peeping through in many places because I haven’t really been out there every day. I usually pull weeds as I water, but watering hasn’t been an every-day requirement these last couple of weeks, so they’ve had a chance to multiply and spread. For now, though, I’m going to drink some coffee and savor some quiet time. Please take care of yourselves! ---

There’s a company that supports our local NPR station that says it offers “dark fiber network,” whatever that is. That seems like an oxymoron. Love they neighbor, even if you don’t love yourself. I think that’s how that goes. ---

It feels harder today and we carefully moved the dresser and big kitty tree back in. Now I just need to re-dress the walls. The entry way and hall is next. The former owner was on a walker and there are bolt marks on all of the door trim so patching that will be a bit of a job. I think I want a couple of shades of sandy yellow, but I will need to do some sample painting first. Good morning, everyone! I’ve been on estradiol for two days now, and I’ve noticed two things: 1. My face is not oily. I mean, I used to get contacted by OPEC for mineral rights for my face, not any more! 2. There is very little lead time between “I’m getting tired - I’ll go to bed in a bit.” and “What the hell? I’ve been asleep on the couch for the last three hours!” I mean - I’m sleeping soundly - I would just rather do it in my bed, rather than on the couch. I have six pages of unread emails, 90% of which are likely SEPs that I’ve been CC’d on. It can be very lucrative if done right or a massive money pit if done wrong. If you have dark fiber connecting Atlanta and Charlotte, AT&T and a slew of other companies will come knocking at your door. the weekend, as usual was short. no crows on the saturday shopping trip. just the usual little brown birds and sea gulls. i scored 2 early birthday gifts at michaels. 50% off and a 10 dollar coupon! whee! hit the target/harry potter colab. a bit hard. i got way too much treat food and not much proper food. saturday was a lovely weather day. sunday was rainy on and off, so there was a lot of snuggle with lager time. paint wise i usually use sherwin williams or benjamin moore. i keep painting to the spring or fall, higher temps, lower humidity. if i do paint in the summer, there will be fans. i don’t get into college football. there are 2 teams in phila. proper. the uofp quakers, and the temple owls. the owls play at the linc, where the eagles play. the quakers play at franklin field. my father was from nebraska and a serious cornhuskers fan. last weekend penn state played temple. that was a big game with a lot of people coming into phila. penn state is the big football thing for the middle of the state. i’m glad you are home with nelson, missred. i hope you stay home a good long time. onward to the week! ---

I was loading the usual set, which was heavier than usual, plus I had 40 add/cuts in the first truck, plus doing the irregs. _Then they added another package car to my set._ So seven cars, plus all that. I ended up needing help. especially since I couldn’t do any loading when the 2 chuckleheads starting heaving irregs onto the belt, without calling out the set, or seeing if they went on that side(No, they did not), or even thinking wether or not to throw a busted up box on the belt(they should not have but did). Ay least there wasn’t much cleanup. After work I filled up Carmen($4.29/gal), and did my Aldi run.
