And a good evening to all y’all. I swear, I need to start planning time to get an afternoon post in, these 20+ catch-ups are wearing me down. Good sweat at the gym, survived eating mostly cereal today and then had my usual Mac-n-Cheese after soccer practice. Cooler today (only 81F for practice), so not quite as much sweat as earlier days. Tried to do my fat bear voting this evening but it wouldn’t load, the page says it’s limited so a lot of folks must be on there (I see **rocky** had the same issue earlier). **Oopsie** , I hope there is no Day 3 of long, boring meeting. **VanGo** , there’s always Christmas season to install the new stuff, after all, you won’t be busy then… 😉 😃 **JtC** , great answer, never wanted to hurt myself but some others… Glad the news at the surgeons was positive. Hope hubs makes it into his 80’s, I’m shooting for 90+ here. And I laughed when I saw your response to how you motivate yourself… **Knots** , got one of those ‘smart watches’ for Christmas one year, used it about 4-5 times and never again…just didn’t trust the numbers. **rocky** , doubt I will need any sort of jacket before October. **Mollie** , quite a birth story, but it seems to have turned out alright. **shoe** , pot roast and noodles were my favorite Mom Meal growing up (except maybe for the meatloaf). This weekend’s eating out is at the Golden Corral, and they make a pretty good pot roast with rice and gravy. And love the video, Monkey just has the struts down pat. Lovely pic. **52** , it usually gets to about 70F at night here, but it does warm up considerably once the sun comes up. Hope the Doc appointment and errand/laundry were all doen with no issues. **doggio** , I just ordered the hair paint for the ceremonial ‘painting of the coaches beard’ at the end of the season, at least that will wash out easily enough. **Cookie** , is this card really necessary? 😉 **Dicey** , Don’t think I’ve ever ripped a sock like that. I have black, white and gray socks in my collection, along with several types of referee socks. Glad the Mr. is feeling better. **FCM** , happy pelleting. **swampy** , sounds like you and OYKW have got things under control laundry-wise. **red** , great news and hope the MRI is positive as well. And that’s about all the ambition I have left, will do a little internettin’ and then head off to bed. See y’all come Hump Day. ---

Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 16c/60f with a predicted high of 17c/63f and mostly cloudy. Weather app says “Just so we’re clear, those clouds aren’t your fucking friends.” Yesterday was busy with many demands on my time, I ended up being pulled from pillar to post and felt like I got very little real stuff done. Today will be much the same as I’ve got 4hrs of meetngs plus a lunch break, which leaves me very little time to do any meaningful work. I logged out of irk late, made campus food for two days, and went to the gym for a couple of hours. When I got home, I found that 'im indoors had forgotten to feed the cats so he rushed around doing that before he went to his 7.30pm doctor’s appointment. Dinner was late as it was his turn to cook, so that means we didn’t have as much time for tellybox stuff afterwards before I headed to bed. Early start, and I got to campus without too much bother. I was at the station early enough for the 7.28am train, saw the crowd on the platform and the number of people on that train, and decided to wait for the next one. Since the first train was running late, it was only 4 minutes until the next one which was much better for me. Still made it to Big City Station for the connection to campus as I didn’t fancy getting on a bus full of schoolies today. Got to the office, have had breakfast and a strong cup of tea, now I’m just picking up a few simple queries to deal with before the first meeting starts. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and mostly clear with a predicted high of 86 with possible drizzle later this mornin’ and partly cloudy the rest of the day. It’s an Autumn day! The big item on today’s agenda is to procure provisions. The rest of the day will be spent in high RDOS sloth as is our wont. Sup will be nuked up leftovers, so even that is slothful. Never did get to cast my fat bear vote. **red** all appropriate/inappropriate appendages are crossed that all will be over soonest. **BooFae** may I suggest a committee be appointed to study the idea of how there can be less meetin’s? It should meet once a week and form a sub-committee to meet and study whether the committee needs to meet more than once a week. Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I must needs purtify and don attire acceptable for bein’ amongst the great unwashed. Le Sigh. Happy Hump Day Y’all! ---

Afternoon. Had some proper rain overnight, judging by the bucket I left out, but it’s all nice and sunny now, and predicted to be so for most of the week. There’s loads of gooses flying over, I keep hearing them honking. They’re mostly barnacle and pink-footed geese from the arctic, which spend the winter mooching around here in large numbers. It gets pretty impressive, as they all share a big roost overnight then take off en masse every morning, thousands of 'em. One of the nicer features of the local winter. It’s the rats’ 1 year gotcha day next week; I’ve ordered them some more different hammocks and I think I’m gonna get them a pack of quail aigs; normal chikin aigs are just too big for just two ratties, but quail aigs are crazy expensive for everyday treats. Only issue is I’ll be fighting the temptation to try and hatch 'em… Anyway, I should get back to the pacing and crying. ---

49F this blue-sky day. The building heat won’t be turned on until mid-October, so I hope some warmer weather is on the way. Woke up early with one of those awful, painful hitches in the ribcage, where it hurts to even breathe. Luckily I fell back to sleep and when I woke up again, it had resolved itself. Gotta get back to exercise today. Then more laundry this afternoon. ---

The day is starting with 55 Ferrets and the possibility of some more rain today, with a flood watch in place. I’d left several windows open overnight, so I pulled out my fuzzy robe this morning. Bit of a chill inside. Speaking of overnight, I slept (mostly) till a bit after 8!! And a couple of weird dreams invaded. One was, Roxy’s music teacher asking for money. I grabbed a handful of change from my wallet, then worried that I’d accidentally given her my Sackie. (I’ve been carrying it since it was minted in 2000.) In the next dream, I’d missed my train and spent the rest of the time trying to chase after it. Why I was traveling without **FCD** or luggage was never clear. But towards the end, I was caught up in a crowd coming out of a mega church and there was a woman there on the sidewalk grooming little dogs. That seemed as good a time as any to wake up!! Plans for today… **FCD** wants me to help him plane some boards. It’s easier if I catch and pass them back to him, so I shall. Then I think I’ll work the clay that I’ve been rehydrating. I cut it into smaller pieces the other day, so it should be easier to work. We might or might not go to Trawlerfest in Baltimore tomorrow. **FCD** needs to find a keeper for Otis. I knew this boat show was coming up, but I decided not to keep reminding him. Same with the boat show in Annapolis next month. I’ll tell him once, then that’s it. I’m tired of being his social secretary. Which means he needs to find someone to keep Otis next month, too. I’m doing more for Otis than I’d intended to, but much less than I used to do for Higgs. Teeter has Diet Coke at buy 2 get 3 - if it comes out better than Food Lion’s BOGO, I may head down there. Tho the drive is twice as far - will the extra gas negate the savings?? Must computate. Good morning. It was 65º and misty this morning. It was damp, but a nice temperature for walking. **Mrs Magill** joined Chloé and me, much to Chloé’s great delight. Well, I’m back from the stabbing. The blood test, that is. I followed the fasting instructions to the letter. It said in the last hour before the test I should drink lots of water to make my veins easy to find. I don’t know exactly what my water bottle holds, but I drank 3 of those. The phlebotomist found a vein on the first try, so that part worked. I’m back home now, and I have wolfed down a mandarin orange, a Kroger yogurt cup (Krogurt), and a mug of coffee. It’s time for the rest of breakfast. ---

Mornin’ everyone. It’s dark, cloudy, and 50F. We’ll have another day of cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and a daytime high of 67F. I don’t have plans for the day. The day has already started out on a frustrating note. I had an overnight delivery that was delivered to the wrong address. All of our house numbers are CLEARLY visible on our houses, so there is clearly no excuse for this. I told Amazon the package was delivered to the wrong address, but it uses AI, which I HATE, and I had to tell it three different times that the picture is not my porch. So, now they are telling me to track it down. It literally said, “Have you checked with your neighbors?” Again, not my job. Someone was lazy, and I’m irritated. I paid for delivery, and it’s not my responsibility to drive around the neighborhood looking for it. I now have to wait until after September 25th to ask for my money back. Ugh, rant over, but still it’s too early to be dealing with stupid irritations like this. First-world problem, yada, yada, yada, but the big A’s customer service keeps going downhill. I suppose I should go on about my day. Please take care of yourselves. ---

And Good Morning all. This was sleep-in day, not out of bed until 7:45am so should be pretty well-rested and with nothing much on the agenda, so looking at a quiet day. And a cooler one, high is supposed to only get to 81F today, which makes it almost fall-like after the scorching summer. **boo fae** , 7:30pm Dr. appointment? Is that a thing there, I think most Doctors in the US try to have a ‘regular’ day schedule (9a-5p or something like that). Or did you mean a instead of p? **swampy** , happy provisioning. Mine will be Friday as usual, I have the list started but will browse the digital coupons tomorrow and finalize it. Got a couple coupons that will take $6-10 off my purchase, but can’t use them together, so depending on my list, I may have to make two trips to get the benefits. Also, when I look closely at the picture the driver so “helpfully” put on my delivery notice, it looks suspiciously like my crappy, loud neighbor’s front porch. We have a very bad relationship and really just do our best to avoid each other. However, this morning, when I went looking for my package, several of them were leaving. They clearly saw me looking around, but no one has brought a package over. They had to walk right past the packages (there were two in the picture) to get to the driveway and street. They won’t bring it over, and they never answer the front door when I knock. So, I’ll be getting my money back, and no package. Very irritating. ---

FedEx has been notorious for living packages in the middle of the driveway. So what did they do? They carried the 45# box to the front door - easily 35 or 40 feet away. Horseing around today. Going to watch my friend’s lesson on the fancy horse she is shareboarding. Yesterday I rode Kiki (instead of Jake) and had a good time.
