I was wracking my brain trying to remember who’d suggested eBay! Thanks so much! Someone once suggested trying men’s sizes, but I’d take a 5.5 in men’s, and those are hard to find. If I do find men’s shoes in my size, are widths the same as in women’s? If I take an EE in women’s shoes, would I take an EE in men’s, too? 🦆 🦶 ---

And the tackleball game (and all those commercials) are now history, as are 11 ounces of potato chips (lasted until to the 2nd quarter) and several diet drinks. Did manage to solve about 95% of the Sunday NY Times crossword, which is better than my average, so that was accomplished. Will head off to bed soon, the repair guy is supposed to be here by 8am Moanday, so want to be presentable for his arrival. Still raining outside. **IL** , loved the cat pics. **Pilot** , sounds like the cruise is shaping up to be a fun ride. Before wearing Brooks, I don’t remember looking for women’s sneakers in a certain width, just whatever fit. I have bigger feet & wear a 10 EE in men’s. ---

So at least we ate well! … and speaking of, I have a little frozen shepherds pie (technically cottage pie) in the oven, so imma toss **Monkey** some treats for a while and have a pre-meal smoke. Glad to hear you made it through! I have some fond memories of my days in food service. I never even once last awake in the middle of the night worrying about the next workday or fretting over the last one, so it had some definite advantages over the office work I got into later. I’m too old and creaky now, but if my hips and knees could take it and I could keep more than one thought in my head at once, that’s what I’d like to do if I were to go back to work. ---

I spoke in a previous MMP that I had received the recent scam phone call where someone on the other end says they’re with Border Control or something, where they say they’ve intercepted a suspicious package in your name and yada yada yada … I’ve never got to the end of it so I don’t know exactly what they try to scam out of people. I’ve gotten it twice before. The first time I just hung up. The second time I engaged the guy in conversation for a minute but he wasn’t biting so I hung up. Today, oh how I wish I had gotten it on video. That was my plan the next time I got the call, but I was just walking in the door when I got it so I didn’t have time to get the laptop camera working. Transcript as best as I can remember. “Hello, this agent Somethng-Something from Homeland Security, how are you today?” “I’m fantastic, how are you?” “I’m fine. Sir, we’ve intercepted a suspicious package at the border in your name.” “Oh no.” “Were you expecting any packages from abroad.” “Yes. Cocaine.” “Pardon?” “Cocaine. A big bale of cocaine. I’ve been waiting for it. Is that what you got?” _click_ Followed by me collapsing on the floor in a fit of laughter. ---
