Don’t judge, but I use a bamboo back scratcher in the studio to reach stuff too far back in the knee hole or under the part of the work table that I would have to move the printer to get to. Sunday chores are done and Sunday dinner consumed. Other than playing around in the studio, not much on the table. I get a little rest before the next wedding album starts. ---

I guess I wouldn’t keep going on about it all except that going to the funeral home, I had a false sense of security when I knew that everything was handled and I still had to pay almost another $500 due to _unexpected_ charges that should have been expected. 😬 Ok, I’ll stop whining about that now. Except to say that tomorrow I go to pick up my dad’s ashes and I did talk to the funeral home director and he will not reimburse me for his misunderstanding. Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, came back to da cave for a sammich N.O.L., and then nappage ensued. Day drinkin’ happened and the biiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Deheathenization was a little strange for me, as the Psalm, the Gospel readin’ and two of the hymns we sang are a part of my funeral plan. So, I kinda felt like I sat through part of my own funeral. Both of us have filled out forms about what we want at our respective funerals. We have slots in the Columbarium to plop our ashes in as well. The funeral home knows our wishes and we have prepaid for cremation and stuff. **Oopsie** glad you had such a good visit with your aunt and other family members. The place you stayed does sound really cool. Then again, how could anyplace with yaks _and_ alpacas not be cool! Sucks about havin’ to fire the person. BTDT and it is not easy. ---

I cleaned. I laundered. I napped. Spot’s Screaming Tuxedo Zoomies went into extra inning. I suspect he may have eaten a coffee bean or something. I need to take the trash and recycling out, since it is now 48 degrees(ferret height) and cloudy, instead of 50 degrees and rainy. I do not have to drag the big bin to the curb since 1. It is already at the curb. 2. Made it to the gym after have my Longhorn Steak dinner, after pedaling off a bunch of calories, I decided that since Sunday and Monday are my ‘splurge’ days, I deserved a 3-scoop Butter Pecan Waffle Cone from Bruster’s, so I got it. Busted that calorie limit all to hell, and I don’t care, that was good stuff. Now home, if I was ambitious I would mow my lawn, but I think it can wait for Wednesday. Church was great. Had bread with cream cheese for breakfast. 2 slices of asiago bread, then a serving of coleslaw. Feel stuffed. Finally going to get an overdue eye exam tomorrow and hopefully order new glasses. ---

Unfortunately my brain also likes to think at night when it’s tired instead of shutting up. We have an electrician coming Wednesday to hopefully deal with those issues. I did accomplish the rest of the list. Now it’s time for dinner. I’m having leftover Thai BBQ chicken and leftover cheesy cauliflower. The Spousal Unit is having the rest of her Bangkok Boat, and she may have a piece of chicken. One task wasn’t on the list, but Bevmo! is across the street from Petsmart. I got a bottle of Benedictine Liqueur and a smaller bottle of Luxardo cherry liqueur. ---

Dress rehearsal. * * * Didn’t even hafta say anything to S.M. about feeling a bit puny, which is good since I skipped being “that person” (we already have one of those, thankyouverymuch, and that shit gets old fast) and can keep this one in my back pocket for another time. Was hoping to get out around 8, maybe 9 at the latest … was driving home at 8:30. 🙌 Stopped at the corner sto’ for some celebratory rum, and saw a mini plastic squirt gun sitting on the counter. Now, I love my **Monkeyshines** but he sometimes lives up to his name, and I’ve been wanting to get a squirt gun for a while. (A spritz of water is a good way to “explain” in Cat Language that whatever they’re doing is bad. It’snot a first-line defense, but is a good final escalation.) But those are a summer seasonal item and weren’t for sale - at least, not the cheap kind - all winter. So I asked if it was for sale and he said he’d give it to me for free. Score! So now, Monks better learn to behave! * * * The sun was a pain in my ass today, always shining in my eyes while doing nothing to drive away the chill. I kind wanted to play in the dirt a bit when I got home (I have MOAR SEEDS!) but it’s chilly even by my standards, and it feels nice to just sit & look at the gathering twilight & hang with y’all. * * * Something on this week’s delivery was either missing or misplaced, so S.M. sent me to the sister location to retrieve more supplies. Which meant I got a few minutes to sit on my ass & have a bit of a smoke. Much appreciated! Plus I got to see the warehouse, which is in the basement of that location. Lots and lots of stuff, all nicely organized. A few of those mini quiche thingies are in the oven as a snack/appetizer. Half are bacon, half spinach - you know the kind, they have something similar in your grocery store’s freezer, too. Monkey got a whole can of Friskies, and the rats got brown rice. They got oatmeal and flax seeds the other day; they’ll be alright. I brought home some ~~expired but still okay~~ diced tomatoes from work that were about to be tossed out, so I can make a “fancy” grilled chz sandwich. Made the executive decision that the litter box shall be **Tomorrow Shoe’s** problem, but I did at least roll the bin to the curb so it will be empty and awaiting the new stinky contents. … forgot to gather up the other household trash, though.
