Howdy Y’all! Did ya miss me this mornin’? I started feelin’ sick last night, I will spare you the details but it was not pretty. Thus I’ve been sleepin’ off and on all day. I took a plague test and it was negative so there’s that. I do not want to eat, but Pepsi Zero has been my friend today. I have not read cause comprehension is nil right now. Thanks again to everyone for the sympathy. It’s a tough go at the moment. We know we did the right thing, but after years of constant companionship, I still expect to see her follow me into the kitchen for a nosh. We have her photo shoot pictures on the wall from brighter, happier days, and are still working through the grief stage. ---

Happy Sunday! Cool morning, in the 60s. I should have gotten my ass out of bed and gone to the dog park. The dogs are bored and need to burn off some energy. I hate it when they get zoomies in the house. The slide on the floor, and the way they burst through the doggie door! I’m surprised they haven’t broken it. **Red** , my son goes through the toy thing when he mows the lawn. He’ll pile all the dog toys on the table and the dogs grab them and distribute them through the yard while he is trying to mow. I don’t know why they do it. Every single toy has to be outside, spread throughout the yard, but they never play with them. If we bring the toys inside, they carry all of them right back out. If I put the seat cushion back on my chair, they carry it right back out into the yard. It’s an old cushion I wanted to replace, so I don’t care about it. I’m afraid to buy a new one though, it’ll probably end up in the yard somewhere. They don’t chew anything up. People think cats are weird. Today, the front yard gets mowed. Tomorrow will be the back yard. I have some laundry to do. Well, for my son to do, since he doesn’t want me going down the steps to the laundry room. I have two jackets to wash, one new, that have to been done on a gentle cycle in cold water. Then hung to dry, out of the sun. Since it’s cloudy today, this is a good time to do it. After he mows the lawn, I’d like for him to spread diatomaceous earth around the foundation again. This is the buggiest house I have ever lived in. There’s a daddy-long-legs on the ceiling above my head right now. Last night there was some big ass bug, I think a house centipede, on the wall in my bedroom. It fell off the wall and damn near ran over my feet. My shriek woke up my son. I felt like such a wuss. It seems like there is always some kind of little creeper around here somewhere. Time to look into what to do about the boxelder bugs before they show up again. I couldn’t tell you what to do about GC, **Shoe**. Sounds like he’s a flake, so either take him as he is or toss him aside. I’m glad you didn’t get smashed. I finally did a permanent dump of OAOASO. I couldn’t contact him if I wanted to since his phone was on my account and I turned it off. I suppose I should have told him first, since he’s had the number for 15+ years and needed it for irk. However, he had been ignoring my calls and texts for several months and wasn’t paying his portion of the bill. I figured there wasn’t much point in calling or texting him if he wasn’t going to answer anyway. I ignored all his calls, texts, and DMs asking if I could _please_ let him keep the number. Congrats on new vehicle **FCM** I used to get a new truck every few years. I like having reliable vehicles that are still under warranty. I used to get a nice discount though, because my father irked for GM. Growing up we had a new car every year because the discount was huge and my father could sell the current car for the price of the new one. I’m sorry for your MIL, and I hope Tobias’s doctor’s visit goes well. I hope you feel better soon, **Swampy** There is a lot of stuff going around. **Doggio** , I never say it. Even knowing, first time I saw one (outside a dispo, thankyouverymuch) I still made a choked sound. Those things are WEIRD even if they eat roach bebbehs and other crap I’d rather got eaten. ETA house centipede are notorious for climbing and then falling, so, if it had a bazillion legs, that’s probably what you saw. Either way, I’d have gone fetal, those things are creeeeeeeeepeeeeeey. ---

We had three folks who agreed they would step up if needed so they were just shown where the key hiding rock was. Hubs was listed as ICE 1 and they were 2,3 and 4. I was telling **FCD** about the car count and figured out I missed 3 - so what’s that - 28? **shoe** - all you have to do is google “end of life indicators” and you’ll get several sites with lists. I drove the new vehicle - it’s huge! But comfy. I don’t like all the touch screen features, but I wasn’t changing the radio or messing with GPS do it didn’t matter I guess. There’s so many settings and features that I don’t know about. Cars thes3 days… ---

It’s always heart wrenching, but it is the price we willingly chose to pay for the love they gave us for all of those years. Keep the good times first and foremost in your mind, you did everything right. So, I’m totally worn out. Our housekeeper was here today and said something about there not being so many boxes as last time she was here. For some reason, that gave me the kick in the butt to empty another ten boxes. There are two boxes of knicknacks left, but they have to wait until Hubs hangs the shadow box and re-assembles the corner units. I could do it myself but Hubs says that I’m not able to do it just like he always says about this sort of thing. Back when we first got together, him saying that would motivate me to do it and prove him wrong. After about ten years or so, I realized that I didn’t _like_ doing those things so why did I bother. Now that all of “my” boxes are empty, I won’t feel bad watching him work when I’m sitting on my butt and smoking weed. ---

Nothing much has happened so I haven’t posted. No jobs, next month my phone will cost $15 a month. Having a salad, trying to sleep early so as to go out before dawn to see the Perseids. Oh yeah, the boss woman called and actually e mailed me the Letter saying I don’t work at that place anymore. Wonders never cease. ---

Of course, when I lived in the land of lake effects snow, if you had a late model (I didn’t always), you also had a heavy, old, mechanically sound, cancer ridden beast as a winter car so’s the road salt wouldn’t eat up your nice car. ---

Good evening all. Did a fair amount of pedaling at the gym and then went to the Metro Diner for an early dinner, so both body and appetite have been taken care of. Soccer practice with the 8-year olds is due to start tomorrow, so that will keep me occupied for the next three months (we usually finish the first week of November). Will get about my reading and puzzle-solving after finishing the internetting for the night. **swampy** , hope you are feeling better soon. **Sari** , I concur with you and others that centipedes in the house can be very creepy. And you’re not wussy at all, I’ve moon-walked right out of my bathroom the few times I encountered a hundred-legger… And I’m tired, so apologies for anyone I missed, will try to do better next time. Hmm. Vehicles, K- car I crashed, Omni that was great, Nissan Altima? Wagon that brought me cross country 3 times, a pathfinder, for a short while. I briefly had a Willy’s Wagoneer that I tried to make run. Now I’m pushing 20 years with my taco. ---
