_The Telltale ~~Heart~~ Battery Backup_  
For the last 20 min there’s been something beeping upstairs, like a battery backup with a failing battery. It took the neighbor 15min to wake up and silence it, and it just started again. Lather rinse, repeat. I may have to ~~slowly descend into madness~~ put on some bagpipe music to drown out the beeping.
