We all know _The Outsiders_ and _Fast Times at Ridgemont High_.
But have you heard of a little Canadian movie called [Double Negative, a.k.a. Deadly Companion?](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080656/) Stars Michael Sarrazin, Anthony Perkins and Susan Clark.
It’s a horrendously bad thriller. In bit parts, you’ll get:

The original London cast of the musical Godspell included Jeremy Irons, David Essex, and future stage stars Julie Covington, Marti Webb and Gay Sopher. For a ten cast show, that is amazing casting.

I wouldn’t go as far as a “cavalcade” in mentioning [Cool Hand Luke (1967)](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061512/fullcredits#cast) but several actors whose fame would later develop into bigger recognition were bit players there, including:
Dennis Hopper
Wayne Rogers
Joe Don Baker
Anthony Zerbe
Harry Dean Stanton
Of course, others like Strother Martin and J.D. Cannon were already fairly well established at the time as competent character actors.

_Annie Hall_ had a lot of actors in bit roles who later became more famous.
Carol Kane, Shelley Duvall, and Christopher Walken had roles large enough that you could recognize them even if you blinked a few times.
Jeff Goldblum, Shelley Hack, Beverly D’Angelo, Tracey Walter, and Sigourney Weaver had bit roles.
Danny Aiello and Harvey Fierstein had roles, but their scenes were cut.
Dick Cavett and Marshall McLuhan played themselves, while Paul Simon and Walter Bernstein (a screenwriter) were well known, but this film is one of their few acting roles.
Truman Capote in an uncredited role plays someone seen walking by in one scene who (as Alvy and Annie comment) is apparently a Truman Capote impersonator.

**Krull** mostly sucked, but was notable for having Liam Neeson _and_ Robbie Coltrane, both impossibly young.
**Excalibur** probably wins, though, having Liam Neeson, Gabriel Byrne, Helen Mirren _and_ Patrick Stewart.
