If there was, it wasn’t picked up South of the Border.

May not be any. Sometimes people, even kids, just die for no attributable cause. Its very sad, I know from experience it can be really harrowing for the next of kin, who would welcome any explaination, even a bad one (drugs, suicide) over none at all.

It wasn’t picked up either North or South of the Border. Did a pretty good search. Just too obscure.

Never mind ‘picked up’ - would there be anything to pick up? If the results of the autopsy were a simple and private medical matter, would they be put in the public domain? That would vary depending on the locality, but I suspect not. If nobody from the family, and nobody from the community, wanted to talk to the press, then there’s no story.

This thread reminded me of a 1973 short film called [_Cipher In The Snow_](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368645/).

> [@](#):
>
> Asking to leave a school bus, Cliff, a young teenager, collapses and dies in the snow near the roadside. His math teacher is asked to notify the parents and then write a short obituary. This task is difficult, for although he was Cliff’s favorite teacher and had the most interaction of any at the school, he barely knew him. In unraveling the mystery of the untimely death, he finds that Cliff was shy, lonely, and ostracized, being slowly reduced to nothing, a zero (cipher). He vows to not let this happen to others.
