Welp, my optimistic predictions for the day came to naught. I listlessly sat in my chair in the 79 degree sun-drenched room wearing a set of sweats, blew through an entire box of kleenex, had a nap from 1 to 3pm, and discovered I now have a fever. 110.5ish which is about as hot as I ever get. Just tested again for COVID and not that. So hooray for that much. First food was at about 3pm and I just now took my first shower of the day and had some more cals just before bed. Fooey on this stuff. Oh yeah. And one of my eyes is acting up like I scratched it. Such fun. This is obviously trivial compared to depression, old age, Baker’s cyst’s, LEEPs, dementia, etc. that’s going around in MMP-land just now. But I’m still peeved. I already missed a Friday med appointment over this and I’ll probably miss a different one on Tue. I just hope I can lick this by Fri. I’d hate to lose this next weekend with BB too. Ugh. Somehow it got to be 1030 and I’m still up. Sleep well everyone and I’ll meet you on the other side. Cheers! Raggedy cheers, but cheers nonetheless. 💤 💤 ---

I’m hoping that’s a typo and you mean 101.5, because 110.5 is a medical emergency and close to fatal. ---

I’d hoped to have painted the motorcycle cowling today, but SWMBO made me go to church with her. The pastor is continuing with John. He talked about how John the Baptist denied being the Messiah (the Christ). He said that people should believe in Jesus, and not people proclaiming how great they are. He specifically said that he was not talking about politics, but my take (and my wife’s take) was that he was saying-without-saying not to follow a false Messiah. At least I hope that’s what he was saying. Anyway, I think it will take about an hour to sand the cowling. Then a base coat, wait ten minutes, then another base coat, then colour coats at ten-minute intervals. I have YAMAHA decal to apply, and then two clear coats at ten-minute intervals. I still have to sand the fender and the tail fairing, and paint them with the same base- colour-clear coat regimens. I want to paint before the Sun illuminates the painting area, so as to reduce the possibility of insects saying. ‘Oh, look! Something bright yellow to land on!’ So I’m hoping I can get the cowling painted on Saturday. Mrs. L.A. has a screw imbedded in a tire. She’s already scheduled for a brake job. We’ll take her RAV4 into the shop in the morning, and she’ll use my Prius to visit patients since I’m irking from home. ---
