Covid outbreak in the building among the kitchen staff. This means all activities are cancelled, including exercise classes, and meals are by delivery only while this runs its course. Doesn’t really affect us much except for the exercise. ---

Howdy Y’all! Laundry got laundered and put where it stays until it gets dirty again. I also accomplished nappage, wherein I had a dream about the Bishop comin’ to visit over to the church house. I was in line for Communion and was told we had run out of wafers and was asked to go buy some at Sam’s. Members Mark Communion Wafers would be a best seller for sure! Also I lost my shirt, and NP showed up in jeans and boots. Maybe I should tell him not to do that when the Bishop is here for real on the 25th. Sup got made and we et early and then the kitchen got cleanded up. That’s the news from swampland. **Metal\_Mouse** hope the foot ouchie is better today. I’ve had my times in Chicago Oh Hell! as well. **Oopsie** feel better soonest. **Cookie** ICK! Hope the plague is over soonest so things can return to what passes for normal in Walking Dead Manor. ---

To be honest, of all the hub cities, I think Atlanta is maybe the easiest to get around, thanks to the layout and the train system. Dallas-Ft. Worth is OK, Charlotte is nice but if your flying commuter you’ve got a long hike, and Chicago is just so large and has so many different terminals that is can be a nightmare, especially if your switching airlines. I’ve been to over 125 airports so far in my life, Singapore and Amsterdam are my all-time favorites and here in the US of A I’m rather fond of Orlando. And quite a dream **swampy** ; bet CostCo has the wafers cheaper… **Cookie** , yikes, better do a test anyway, bet that has a lot of folks nervous. **JtC** , sounds like the window decision is coming, I concur that local is usually better. And I’ve stayed at a local hotel when I was getting my house remodeled, no problem but then I don’t look like a wild and crazy guy… Back from the gym, 900 calories pedaled off according to the computers and the amount of sweat on my shirt. Have had apple #2 for the day and will shorty prepare the Mac-n-Cheese for the evening’s repast. Nothing much else on the schedule. ---

The building manager/administrator, who probably makes more money per year than I ever did, was delivering pizza this evening with one of the kitchen staff. Speaking of weird dreams, I had one where I was trying to check in for a flight to Brazil and the agent wouldn’t accept my license or passport. She demanded a bill or bank statement with my address on it. I woke up very confused. The chickie-grape-apple salad was good. Chillage is underway. ---

I finally got my bread. I ran out Saturday. I only eat Sara Lee Delightful Multi-Grain, and about a third of the time neither supermarket has it. (Both supermarkets are owned by the same company.) I went down after irk, and there were three loaves. I bought two. One is in the deep freezer. I’d rather have frozen-and-thawed bread than none at all. Anyway, I made a grilled corned beef-and-Swiss sandwich with Thousand Island dressing in it, and a Trader Joe’s kosher dill spear on the side. Yum. I bought a couple of extra corned beef briskets in March, and made one last week. Sadly, my wife is still on plain white rice, and Endure-and-blueberry smoothies. She did have some clam chowder Friday, and she had a corned beef sandwich one night; but she’s still not eating my wonderful cooking. ☹ ---

Mom used to be a Mensa member and they had a Thanksgiving meeting every year. Those folks flew in from all over the country and would usually spend at least half of the first dinner complaining about Sky Harbor while comparing them to other horrible ariports. I also heard the same things at needlework seminars. Flying after 9/11 became a huge chore so I don’t have first hand experience actually flying into or out of it for a while, but I always hated picking people up. I sure hope the plague goes away **Cookie**. Dang about the lack of exercise, I’m having problems finding a Tai Chi class and I’m really missing the stretching. ---

Another fun day at the snoutcounting place, 0515-2027. The polls were open fourteen hours, 0600-2000, and we got a total of fourteen snouts to count – hardly seems worth the trouble. Republican primary for state senator, so there’d only be one candidate on November’s ballot and the Republican vote wouldn’t get split. Only three months until we do it again – but of course there will be hundreds of snouts then and I won’t be able to just sit and read all day. ☹ ---
