I reme, mber quite a few of the above, including:

**Colonel Bleep** (I have him on DVD!)
**Mighty Hercules**
**Clutch Cargo
Space Angel
Linus the Lion-Hearted
Roger Ramjet
Crusader Rabbit** (have some of him on VHS)
\*\*Dodo, the Kide from Outer Space
Hashimoto Mouse
Tom Terrific
Hector Heathcote (the Minute and a Half Man)
\*\*

I don’t recall the **Captain Sailorbird** cartoon intros, but I DO recall the cartoons they introduced – odd translated European (and maybe some pre-AstroBoy Japanese) cartoons. I haven’t seen them since. But one that I do recall well enough to identify is the French cartoon **Jeannot l’Intrepide**. Anyone else remember that one?

> Capt'n Sailorbird is an American syndicated animated television series which debuted in 1959. An anthology series of sorts, the Sailorbird character introduced (via newly animated wraparound segments) foreign language cartoons which were reedited and dubbed into English for the series by Paul Killiam. 190 five-minute episodes were produced, which were inserted into individual stations' children's shows. Longer cartoons were serialized over the course of multiple episodes.

Ah, what fond memories. I’d love to be able to finish crossword puzzles in seconds, as in the opening scene of _Champions_. And \*My World \* with William Windom rates a thread all by itself.

And of course _ **Belle and Sebastian** _, _ **The Mysterious Cities of Gold** _, _ **Mr. Wizard’s World** _. And then at 7:00 Nickelodeon finished its broadcasting for the day, and the most anti-kid network, A&E took over until the next morning.

I was in high school when we finally got cable and started tuning in Nickelodeon right before the switchover so I wouldn’t miss any of “An Evening at the Improv” on A&E. That’s how I was introduced to “You Can’t Do That on Television”.

Oh wow. Nope. They used to air that on PBS in the early 90’s after Barney. My little sister was three or four years old and _loved_ Zoobilee Zoo.

People in animal suits always creeped me out, though.

My own TV watching goes back to [Ding Dong School](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0211798/)and [Kukla, Fran and Ollie](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159886/) so I’ve forgotten more shows than I can remember.

One of my favorites from childhood was [Topper](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045447/), a rather lame sitcom version of [the movie](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0029682/). To this day I still watch anything with [Anne Jeffreys](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0420331/) or [Robert Sterling](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0827577/).

Oddly enough, two shows I have absolutely no memory of are [Winky Dink and You](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045456/) and the “Learn to Draw” segments with John Gnagy on [Wonderama](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290994/fullcredits#cast), which ALL my friends remember.
