They were singing along with the commercial. West Virginia paid a lot of money to have an ad promoting the state during the Super Bowl. They used John Denver’s country road song.

Did you know that John Denver was born in Roswell NM? How’s that for a serious dichotomy? Or not, Area 51 to the hollers of West Virginia. Hmmmm.

The college team (Univ. of West Virginia) is called the Mountaineers; state doesn’t have any major pro teams, guess there are enough close by that they can root for.
Well, the 13oz of Potato Chips made it (barely) to the start of the 2nd quarter, which is about as far as the Chiefs got…spent most of the time working on the Ken-Ken number puzzle (solved both of them) and about 70% of the crossword. Now thinking about sleep time soon.
**FCM** , can’t they change your card number? I know it would be a royal PITA to change all your billing systems, but it might be the only sure cure. But I know just enough to be dangerous on the topic, I am sure you are much more capable than I am on the topic.
**Wet one** , that’s the price here (plus 0.54 cents tax). Gives me reading matter for nearly the whole week. And glad you’re getting back in the saddle, just be careful now.

**JtC** , nice stitching work. As for me, it’s usually when I stand up after sitting for awile that the old bladder starts signalling me that it is literally time to go…And happy birthday to Hubs.

Tonight wasn’t _nearly_ as bad as I expected. Like, not even in the same ballpark, to mix sports metaphors a bit.
We’ve had busy-but-ordinary Friday nights that were way worse than tonight’s Superb Owl.
I think part of it was, we went into tonight with all battle gear fully strapped.
Well, that and … if the Lions _had_ been playing, tonight would’ve been quite different.
Even better, **Car(e)less** was on the ovens most of the night, and despite his reputation for burning the 👿 out of pizzas, we had NOT ONE REMAKE the whole night.
Not one single “Aw, shit” and out comes a disc of burnt charcoal.
Anyway, **Car(e)less Co-worker** covered for one crew’s close, and I stayed to cover for _another_ guy’s close, so tonight’s roster in no way resembled the written schedule. 🤣
I love how **S.M.** is like, “I want _this_ person to work _this_ day, and _that_ person to work _that_ day …” and we’re like, “Yeah, no, we discussed amongst ourselves, and you’ve been overruled.”

Okay, off for some well-deserved zombie-killin’ time.
I did remember to roll the big (and very full!) bin to the curb, and the oven is preheating for whatever push-button food sounds good … top contenders are N.O.T. skins + a random, single beef empanada sitting lonely and forlorn in an entire almost-empty box takin’ up damn space … so thus endeth tonight.
