# (Old) Spot-ify: The MMP That's The Cat's Meow

Oh, my word I am SO far behind now! I’ve skimmed, so I’ve probably missed some things.

I’m here in the lap of luxury. My brother’s house is HUGE. All the bedrooms are en suite with huge walk-in closets. My apartment is going to seem like a hovel once I’ve adjusted to this comparative opulence. My bed is so high that I literally have to launch myself or crawl like a mountain climber. Maybe that’ll help work off all the great food.

My brother’s surgery is tomorrow morning. We have to leave before the screech of dawn and will probably return her mid-to-late afternoon.Then I’ll have to don my Nurse Ratched cap. I don’t know how I’ll hear him if he calls in the middle of the night, as I’m at the other end of the house. (My SIL’s room is…well, crikey, I don’t remember where it is, but not near my brother’s room. (He snores.)

Right now, my duty is chiefly to translate normal spoken English to Loud, as in “HE SAID, 'WHERE"S THE REMOTE?” and “SHE ASKED IF THE DRYER STOPPED.” Thus is life when people refuse to wear hearing aids.

**hippie** , I’m agog at your quilting talent. It’s impossible for me to believe that your wife could possibly be better at quilting than you are. I mean, you can’t top perfect, can you? I LOVE that summer quilt.

**JtC** , I hope the leak gets unleaky soonest. In the meantime, I’m singing “My Bonny Lies Over the Ocean” for you.

Tell him the goal line is under the refrigerator. That’s the only way the floor beneath mine gets clean.
