I’d say probably better, because stroganoff involves mushrooms, to which I am vehemently opposed as a food item. ---

Wild laundry day. About 9-10 loads. The laundry room was hopping today. What is with people not setting timers? Some people left things in the dryers for over 6 hours. I use 1 washer and 1 dryer. I set a timer and unless the cat is on my lap I go down timely. It really isn’t difficult. The furniture shuffle continues, I was able to wrestle the big chair out of the bedroom and into the living room. Whee! Much sweeping and mopping happened. Lager enjoys being in the way when you sweep, and then tries to roll in the sweepings. The cats had a wild time during the changing of the sheets. Koritza enjoyed attacking the fitted sheet, lager enjoyed rolling on the comforter. I had a lovely shower, followed by flannel pjs and now we are all in our cozy spots. Looking forward to the upcoming 3 day work week. Hopefully the predicted rain will not happen on Thursday. ---

AZ has many MANY grasshoppers and they eat everything. I didn’t use poison in the yard, but it offended me if the grasshoppers came onto the porch to eat my posies. One day I swatted a grasshopper and tossed it at a tunnel spider web then teased the web with a stick. Later the grasshopper was gone. Cool. Next day I didn’t really kill one of the grasshoppers, I tossed a still kicking but crippled one into the tunnel. It was gone a few hours later and the tunnel was bigger and better reinforced. After a few weeks of me tossing grasshoppers at the tunnel, Charlotte would actually climb to the top of her nest and look out when she heard my feet on the deck. Hubs said she never reacted to his footsteps and was very entertained to see her come out for me. I kept feeding her and she got preggy. I was thrilled when her eggsack finally burst. The next year the deck was suddenly covered with tunnel spiders and their webs. There were millions and billions and I learned my lesson. I have a halogen desk lamp that extends out to cover my work area. Halogen bulbs generate heat. My work area is periodically transformed into a snoozing kit-cat area. At least they stop walking on the keyboard. My cold has improved to the point I can go back to work tomorrow. ---
