I’m pretty sure we’re in the Drake Passage - it’s getting bumpy!! Haven’t mentioned yet that the Cruise Director is Arrrmando - yeah, that’s how he spells it and pronounces it! He’s a hoot! We went to the show this evening and now we’re watching TV. Max chillage! ---

It took me quite the while to get to this thread, I thought it was about iceburgs!. Well, my ear is healing, but amoxillin seems to make me want to eat everything and my stomach is saying, The hell? Two more days of it. Still not sure if I want to remove my tooth or wait Months to get it re canalled. It would make the last 4 teeth less stable. Never get a root canal! News on the job front. I quit the small home. Though I enjoyed wearing what I wanted and couldn’t mess up, I love customers. I got a call, the woman wanted a baker, 7 hours. I said I didn’t want a 7 hour shift and she said well how about cashier ( my thing!) For 5? I aced the interview, haven’t started yet, but 25 hours a week will bring in a lot more than 6 so I can finally get some clothes and dye My hair! Theres more but I don’t want a looong post, so will continue later. ---

Wow. Lotta stress with y’all today. **Flyboy** that is the worst crash commute story I’ve heard in a very long time. Speaking of crashes, yesterday a minor T-bone happened right in front of me. Two damaged cars, no apparent injuries, and none of the debris hit me. But it was close; this was 20-30 feet from me. Congrats there **Spicy** on potty success. Turns out their number is 888-345-6789 and ours is 800-345-6789. Old folks are kinda buffaloed by this new fangled idea that “toll-free” is not always equal to “800”. Took us a while to figure out what was happening there too. But once we knew we’d cheerfully redirect old Harold or Maude to the right number for Barona. And again most folks were grateful for our help and apologetic. As to the others, they launched off into high dudgeon and insisted we take their reservation; they’re not senile, they dialed correctly dammit!!1!. So we did, offering them a suite upgrade and $300 of free play _and_ complimentary 🍾 🥂 upon check-in to smooth their ruffled feathers. Whichever class of room they wanted, we always had vacancies for VIPs like them. 😜 As to me … A great day. Figured out what I needed for the trip, got it from the storage unit, then hit the new digs & got settled in. And packed for the trip, so I’m ready to roll tomorrow. Found that there’s more closet and dresser space than I’d planned for, so went back to the storage unit, got the vast majority of my regular-use clothes and some admin stuff and returned to settle that in. Off to Target for some tidbits, then out dinner at a sleazy dive that makes a great buffalo chicken salad, but really weak cocktails. Whereat I’m still typing after eating / drinking. Time to cover the 2 miles to home when I hit [send] and promptly hit the hay. Tomorrow is wake up, shower, uber to train, train to airport, hit the club, then board and go to Sint Maarten. Sounds like fun. Talk to y’all sometime during that perigrination. Cheers all!! ---

How can a motorcyclist hit a Jeep that he’s overtaking? At that time in the morning, there would be no need to get that close. Unless the motorcyclist… didn’t see the Jeep? If not, why not? I understand the semi (although he _possibly_ should have known there was a speeding motorcycle), as the Jeep was the vehicle on the side of the road with the hazard lights on. As my scary-fast sportbike’s resurrection nears, these stories are spooky. ---

Sorry for running off again, Mom called and I always answer her calls because she doesn’t call so I think something is wrong. Happily, it was just a purse dial and she had time to chat once she figured out why her purse was yelling at her. Today was housekeeper day so we went to the dispensary down the mountain and I got some of my second favorite strain. I just love being able to go into a dispensary and buy good weed for less than the street crap I used to smoke. We stopped at a diner for an early lunch (not brunch because there wasn’t any booze available) and they had changed the size of their slider buns, but each slider was still a quarter pound of meat. I liked it better when the buns were larger because super thick sliders are even messier than normal ones and I was wearing a cream colored sweater. > [@dogbutler](#): > > I love sleezy dives. The people putting the mobile in behind us finally got the concrete poured for the stem wall footing and came out this afternoon with a backhoe to put the mobile on the pad. I like where it is now better than before, I can see more mountains and sky. I do hope the owners put an awning up, I spend a whole lot of time looking out that window and stitching, I don’t want to be losing count all the time when I see the occupants going in and out the door. Speaking of losing count, I should probably finish the background in this spot lest I forget where I was in the morning. Waves and hugs! ---

And the good news is I don’t have to drive to Indianapolis! We were going to go pick up MIL on the Firday after we get home. Last night, Daughter messaged and asked if she could go, too. So she’s going instead and I’ll watch the grands when SIL has to work. Huzzah! No long-distance drive for me! Meanwhile, it’s an at-sea day and it’s a bumpy one. Not bad enough to knock me out of bed, but walking will be fun. Yeah. There are a couple of lectures we want to attend, but mostly chillage. Plus today we’ll start packing dirties in a suitcases we can get ready for Sunday night when they take our luggage. I think we’re both ready to be home, even tho we have 3 more stops. I miss my recliner!! 😭 And, frankly, I miss making my own meals. We were discussing a driving trip around Iceland rather than a cruise. To be discussed further at home. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 47 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 59 and N.O.S. We shall procure provisions this mornin’. This will include gettin’ some shrimpies steamed as tonight’s sup shall be shrimpies ‘n grits and oven baked spareguts. The balance of the day shall be spent in sloth, nappage, and day drinkin’ as is our wont. I had my mid-life crisis on a cruise. Six of us, who had either turned fifty or were about to turn fifty, went on a week long cruise and acted fools the whole time. It was over when we got off the boat. All in all not a bad way to have a crisis. **Coppertone** yay for the new gig, especially cause it looks like it makes you happy. Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Finally caught up. I do enjoy reading the MMP, but don’t always have time to post. Started my day with a call with my mom, who told me my dad is back in the hospital with blood clots in his lungs and constipation. Last Thursday he got a new shoulder, and during the surgery he needed to be intubated, but he was sent home on Friday. So Tuesday morning they went to the ER. Just 11 hours later he got a room. And there are people on beds in the hall. Now, hopefully, both my parents are sleeping and my dad is getting the medical care he needs. Had to work from home this morning, so I’m just going to the office now. Oops, need to get off the train. ---

Mornin’ everyone. It’s 53F and raining at the moment. It’ll rain off and on throughout the morning. The afternoon will be cloudy with a high temperature of 58F. **flyboy** , I read about that accident yesterday and immediately thought of you. It sounds like quite a mess; I would have been unhappy about the commute to nowhere, too. I was dreaming about my Dad this morning before I woke up. My husband’s tossing and turning woke me up, so I was a bit miffed with him because I was really enjoying the conversation with my Dad. He’s been gone for years, and I often think about him. I’m glad he was able to visit me in my dreams. Congrats on your new gig, **coppertone**. FCM, I think a drive around Iceland would be pretty amazing and sounds exactly like the trip I would enjoy. No offense, but being cooped up on a giant boat with thousands of people does not appeal to me. I’m glad others enjoy it, but a car trip sounds more like my speed. I like the idea of stopping when I want to stop and being on my schedule. **dicey** , I’m sorry to read that your Dad is in the hospital again. I hope all goes well. I chose not to address the silly drama with the offender yesterday because I think it’s better as a face-to-face conversation over coffee. I’ll see her next week and plan to address it then. The person struggling with the offender is still in a snit, but I’m doing my best to calm her down and steer her toward less pissy reactions. Well, I need some more coffee. I just found out that all northbound lanes of the 5 were blocked yesterday in Ferndale at the Nooksack River bridge by a seven-car collision.
