She seemed okay with it. I’ve never presented fully when she was at home before, so I’m a little nervous. I also told her three band moms whom I would trust with knowledge about my situation, and gave her permission to share, so she’ll have someone to talk to. Her spouses group meets next Wednesday, and I gave her the same homework I have. She’s not allowed to chicken out of going, just as I’m not allowed to chicken out of going to the next MTTA meeting. Aside: Typing out the above paragraph was surprisingly difficult. It’s funny the things that get us. My parents basically took care of my brother for the last twenty years, and my sister and I are waiting for the call from his landlord that he’s not been paying rent. We have both expressed that he will _not_ live with either of us. **FCM** - I agree that sleepy time should be warm and cozy time, but I sweat… a lot. I have to be well ventilated, otherwise I’ll have to ring out the sheets in the morning. ---

Good morning. It’s 48F and partly cloudy. This afternoon is expected to be generally sunny, with a daytime high of 68F. **teela,** I hope you and the doc can figure out what is going on soon. **JtC** , good on you for not bending for your sister. I know it must be hard for you because of your mother, but you’re doing the right thing. **Mollie** , I’m glad the concert went well. **FCM** , both Buster and Maisie consider both used and unused napkins and tissues quite a treat. Fortunately, both our powder room and kitchen garbage have covers, but they still manage to find some every once in a while. Yesterday’s big move day went well. My son is now pretty much moved into his new home. He has a few little odds and ends to get out of the apartment, mostly food, and to clean it, and he’s done there. We picked up lunch on the way to his old place and ate there before going to collect the UHaul, bringing it back, and getting it loaded. The front door of his apartment is a bit of a walk from the parking lot, so I insisted on a furniture dolly, which my son and husband conceded was a great idea, because carrying some of his furniture that far would have been pretty awful. We got it all loaded, drove to his new place, unloaded the truck, then I followed them to the U-Haul place to return the truck, and drove everyone back to the apartment for my son to pick up the remaining clothes and his Jeep. We all then drove back to his new place, stopping at a Mexican place on the way for some dinner. Once back at the new place, we popped the champagne I purchased to celebrate the occasion. We need to head to the vet pretty soon to pick up the pups. They were not happy about being left there, and I’m sure they’re anxious to get home. We’re driving back down to my son’s new house tomorrow, with the pups, and will hang out, and probably help him with anything he needs. I’m pretty sure he’ll have most everything in hand, though. He had been schlepping stuff from the apartment to the house until 1:00 a.m the night before and had managed to put away a good amount of it. As for the rest of today’s plans after picking up the dogs, I think we’ll just take it easy. Moving does not become easier as we age. I’m a little stiff, and I know my husband is probably exhausted because he and my son did most of the really heavy lifting. Alrighty, time to finish my coffee and get ready to be out in public again. You all take care of yourselves, please. ---

Sitting near gate A16 in JFK and should be boarding my last flight in about 15 minutes. Lots of sitting and standing around in the past 25?4 hours with some nice bits and a couple not so nice bits, but in about 4 hours I should be walking into my house. Will write more then. ---

I was in the Mez today. It was busy, because of a bug in the system. The stuff around N.C. State and the NC Dept of Humans Services will not scan as correct as good addresses with the portable label makers, but it will in the computers. NCDHS had a hella big order of supplies today, so I was neck deep in that. Also the print company that Frito Lay used to do it graphics for the FIFA World Cup(football, as opposed to handegg) just put down “27617” as the zip code for all the Harris Teeters in N.C. So there’s a lot of packages that were sent back, which took time. Also, one thing I would like to explain to a lot of people is if you’re sending stuff to N.C. State and you put the physical address(2610 Cates Ave., the Student Center), it will be delivered. If you address it to the building(Talley Student Center) or even the campus mail box number(7294), it will be delivered. But the last time State was one building was like 1891. So if you sending something to \< person at N.C. State \>, it ain’t happening. Sorry, Paul, you Penguin books book is on it’s way back. Congrats to your son! Taking a break for lunch. Deconstructing the dinghy is much more difficult than it should be. Much corrosion! Mixed straight slot and Phillips screws (straight slots SUCKETH!!!) Also a mix of mild steel, stainless steel, and bronze fasteners. I had to start chiseling away the wood around the outside edge - it looks like the inside wood is in good enough shape to retain, but the outer stuff is rotted in several places. I’ll finish removing the rotted wood and I’ll try to cut the corroded bolts, but if they need to be removed with the grinding wheel, I’ll leave that for **FCD** - I’m not going to risk boogering up the fiberglass. Gotta say I’m glad he bought the roll-around stool - it beats having to work bent over. It’s also nice having a smart speaker out there so I can listen to WETA Classical while I work. Almost done lunch. Time to feed Otis then get back to work. Dammit. ---

**Mrs Magill** is on the way home from a doctor appointment. I have a call right up to when I have to leave for my counseling, so I changed early. I’ve never been dressed while she was at home. To say I’m a little nervous would be putting it lightly. ---

Done. I think **Mrs Magill** saw me from the back. Unlike last time, I drove there with my hair on and my head held high. Unfortunately, there was some roadwork on the way there, and I was uncertain if the road was open. I decided against rolling down my window and asking and took a different route. I have been given homework. I am to compile my MMP posts as a journal. First so I can look at my progress, and second so she may use it when it comes time to write The Letter to my GP. Leaving the office, I feigned confidence, held my head high, and did not pay one iota of attention to the person sitting in their idling car on the other side of the parking lot, nor to the two men walking across the parking lot. **Mrs Magill** greeted me at the door with Chloé. Then she asked to take a picture, because my sister wanted to see. Had I known there was going to be pictures, I would have made more of an effort. ---

I hope this is helpful, because I wasted years of time & buckets of energy worrying about other people’s opinions, when it turns out it didn’t matter one tiny speck. As self-conscious as I’m sure you felt, there’s a 99.2% chance they didn’t notice you at all. I mean that in a good way. I know when you’re feeling like things look weird, you’re certain the whole world is STARING AT YOU BECAUSE OMG but in reality, most people are so involved in their own life, their own weird thing _they_ think they’re being judged on, or just whatever they got going on in their phone at the moment, that you’re barely a blip on their radar. So, look both ways before you cross the street (again, barely on their radar!) but otherwise, you’re not the horrifying spectacle your inner demons tell you you’re being. Please, take what I posted with lotsa luv & hugs. I meant everything with respect. You deserve to feel safe. ---

Howdy Y’all! We procured and stowed provisions and chowed down on fried chikin plates from the Pubic Sto’. Nappage was then needed. The day turned out to be mostly sunny and really warm, so we day drank out beside the cee-mint pond. I put my feets in the water and it felt good, though a bit cool. Margaritas were had cause cee-mint pond side calls for tequila. Well, it did today anywho. Rain is allegedly comin’ in in a couple of hours. Hope so cause rain makes for good sleep weather. **Mollie** you did it! You presented and all seems to be well. Good for you! Just know a grumpy old bear in southwest Jawja has your back. ---

Went to lunch at the Indian place. It was actually pretty good. I happened to run into the maintenance guy, who told me that he’ll be leaving. This is really bad news, as he’s the first one in that job who’s been worth a damn since we moved here. It’s a combination of things: the current property manager doesn’t want to make moves that would actually improve things here, and the present guy has been offered a better position as a facilities manager elsewhere. It’s more than likely that they’ll hire some lamebrain who has never heard of preventive maintenance and we’ll eventually find ourselves going backwards to the bad old days. ---
