Old timey 'lodges'

In the downtown area of the little village of Saint Paris, Ohio (just 5 miles from me) is a door between two other businesses with “Knights of Pythias” written on it. I think it leads to an upstairs room. Have never seen anyone go in or out of the door.

on Everybody Loves Raymond, his dad, Frank, belongs to some kind of lodge where he meets with his old-coot friends for naked swimming and saunas. It must be a godsend for Marie as it gets him out of the house.

No worries. I should have linked it myself, but I got lazy.

It’s a man’s life in The Women’s Auxillary Balloon Corps.

There is a door downtown with very old lettering which says “Cooties meet here.”

I presume “Cooties” were a now-defunct fraternal organization. Did a quick search and couldn’t find a cite.
