Evening all. The day started with me forgetting to reset my clocks so I got to the soccer fields an hour early, but it was a pleasant morning and I had to walk about 6-7 minutes uphill to the fields with a heavy wagon-load, so not to big a burden. After refereeing I coached my boys 10U in the Semi-Finals, they played their best game of the season and won 3-0. The refereed again an hour later and then came the Championship game. We got down 0-2, battled back to tie it at 2-2 and had to go to penalty kicks…and lost…again. So took two teams to Semi-Finals and Finals and couldn’t win either on penalty kicks…kids were down and so was I, but they got 2nd place medals and some stuff from me (and also got to paint my beard) so hopefully most of their memories will be good ones. Home now and slowly unpacking the car, it’ll probably be a couple days before I get all of the soccer stuff out and put away until March-April again. At least we had some great weather, dry and in the 60’s/70’s. Have done a little eating and much hydration (and showered the paint out of my beard) and will work on my sloth ability for the rest of the night. Do need to change the clocks, but being a RDOS, in no hurry since I have nowhere in particular to be. Doing a quick scan of 40+ posts… **Sari** , hope the cat figures out that your place is not healthy for them and moves on. Happy call-waiting, since I suspect you are doing a lot of that… **Dicey** , never heard of popcorn milkshakes before, did a look and apparently our local 5Guts doesn’t have it (I could get them with bacon, crushed candy canes, or strawberries, among other items). **Shoe** , {{{ }}} for both Monkey’s return and Mom’s attitude. Sounds like work was more of a demolition derby in more ways than one, hope someone got the plate number for the reverse-and-run. And hope the rodent problem sorts itself out (I am not in brotherhood with my fellow rats). **boo fae** , been a fan of the Hammers and the Gunners and to a lesser extent, Spurs for awhile now. **FCM** , I have some guilt reflex too, like **FCD** , I think we all do, apparently it sticks hard to him. And glad you are not seeing grey hairs; I’m just happy to see any hair at all these days. **Oopsie** , we’'ll plan to hear of your electoral ventures in the next MMP. **Hippie** , happy sharpening day! And that is the report of my day. Don’t know if I’ll be back for a late-night final, but if not, I’ll catch y’all on the next MMP. ---

It was a bright spot in a rather unpleasant day TBH. Hub’s fav cousin went to the hospital Friday evening with some pretty serious issues. Of course the family circled the wagons and we joined them at the hospital. She couldn’t have visitors so we found a park and had an impromptu tailgate party while someone was always at the hospital waiting for news. She was pronounced to be stable and out of danger around 1600 so we made it home in time to feed the fuzzbutt their dinner. We forgot about the time change. Hubs uses his phone for an alarm and it automatically updated the time in the middle of the night so he slept until his alarm went off. That meant the cats got their breakfast an hour late in their opinion. They tried to wake us up by stomping on the bed a couple of times but we were used to that, so they took themself off to eat kibble and have their morning zoomie session. This morning’s zoomies included running and climbing over two full bags of kitty litter, ripping holes in both bags and then pooping in the pile of loose litter on the floor. @Baker I tried your recipe and thought that while it came out very well, it needed more garlic. I thought the texture and crust were very nice and not having any good parm, I had to buy a chunk of parm at the sto. We agreed back when we were in our 30’s that we didn’t want kittens ever again. We were heavily involved in rescue at that time and had so many kittens go through our hands but the only cats we kept were the “ugly” ones. GG was a spite cat. I was mad at hubs over his refusal to get vaxxed and wanted to make him feel it. When these fuzzbutts are gone, we won’t have any more cats of our own, we will just foster instead because we agree with you. Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had a really good brunch, so much yummy food! Nappage was required after that. We also day drank and stared at Netflix. Plus the biiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Thus is the news from swampland. **Sticky\_Buns** glad y’all made the staircase safer for the servants. They wouldn’t be able to do their jobs very well if they were hobblin’ around with broken legs and such. The little thing that looks like a gear in the reply box is a drop down menu. One of the options is blur spoiler. **shoe** glad Monkey is home safe and sound. I already scolded him for bein’ a bad boy on the book of faces. **doggio** good to know Spot is not a princess pretty paws. **Oopsie** again thank you for bein’ a poll worker. **CupCake** I wrote Baptisms, but I meant Baptism as in one. An eight year old girl who is now excited to start acolyte trainin’ which just warms my heart cockles. **Coppertone** the idea of a church findin’ a way to do Sunday afternoon football with snacks perhaps intrigues me. Maybe one or two Sunday afternoons a month could work? **Hippie** cool quilt squares. Have fun sharpenin’ knives. **Rocker** glad the electricity is back. Did you have to have four committee meetin’s and the consensus of the residents before you bought the lobby stuff? **MOOOOOOM** in MIL’s defense, there’s always room for pie. **Lily** I may borrow your shoppin’ list. **FlyBoy** I have no problem with a church urgin’ or remindin’ people to vote. However I do have a problem with a church that wants to tell people _HOW_ to vote. ---

That will happen at the next meeting. The crew will have new reindeers, ornaments, and the toppers to debate. In other news, new chairs are possible by the end of the year. The very nifty drumstick slippers need no committee approval. My toes approved. ---
