And a good evening to all. Spent a couple of hours at the gym, got 1200 calories either cycled or walked off, then came home and had a couple of sammiches with a pudding cup so put most of them right back on. About 8:30pm locally and feels like it should be later than that, so might be an early bedtime. Did change the filter and the ladder is in place to change the light bulb, just need to see how much energy I have. **Coppertone** , that’s great news, I hope it works out well for you. **wet one** , glad the first steps went well, you’ll be back in Ariel’s saddle in no time. > [@dogbutler](#): > > (he died of starvation during their 15 minute absence). And 5lbs of poutine sounds a bit much, only contest I ever won food-wise was eating an 18oz hamburger in one sitting, got my picture on the wall (along with dozens of others who did it). **JtC** , hoping that the dog comes home with you soon. I got a “I made a pig out of myself at Ferrells” when I was young enough to eat that much ice cream all at once. So even in snowy winters, it’s likely that snow will have to be trucked into downtown for the races. There was so little snow this year, though, the ceremonial start was only about a dozen blocks long instead of several miles. As for the abused dogs: these are working dogs, bred for the task. They’re well fed and kept healthy, like any successful working dog, and their health is carefully monitored by vets during races. It amuses me that nobody bitches about sheepherding dogs or guide dogs or other working species. ---
