Bouncing along Lake Erie on a ferry to Kelly’s Island and Put-in-Bay. Ship is fast and the waves of a bit high so I am glad I don’t get seasick. Guess they have a schedule to keep and to the passengers just need to stay seated. Before that I went out to look at a. couple of lighthouses and went through a “Safari” park that was a bit of a rip-off but at the same time rather fun. Dinner was provided by 5 Guys and I am stuffed for the near future. Would love to report more but coming into the next port so will get some pictures…once we slow down some. . ---

Let’s see: - I last wore a dress more than 20 years ago (though I will wear a dress as part of a costume at certain upcoming author events), and that was for formal night on a cruise - I last wore a skirt more than 20 years ago and that was for formal night on a cruise - I have never used hairspray - I have worn lipstick once? twice? though I do have a lightly tinted lip balm I’ve used once? twice? - I have very infrequently used a tinted base to cover a pimple or surgical wound - I have pencilled my eyebrows three times (at the beginning of chemo) - I have worn eyeliner as part of a costume - I have worn eye shadow maybe three times - I have used mascara maybe three times - I curled my eyelashes with [the infernal contraption](https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/shopping?q=tbn:ANd9GcRg-1ptwoPvsSf8TakSEJ1clsZNvijuku094ynR21dWavvvgJGumu3KBqHjRV0RZaLFUeelA5IdcEIMwOxjEkRW0k4_tn-h) two or three times - I have never used blush - I have never used some sort of outliner on my lips - I have never used any other makeup - I have never had fake eyelashes - I have never had fake nails - I have never had a professional manicure - I have had one professional pedicure (in Cambodia, to support an NGO) - I have never worn “cute shoes” (except heels once as part of a Malibu Barbie costume) * * * - I do wear jewelry - I do sometimes use nail polish - I do use moisturizer (typically 0-30 SPF) - I started using hair conditioner some of the time as I’ve acquired more thin, fly-away grey hair - I have tried and don’t like hair mousse - I have occasionally had bright blue or other color/accents in my hair - I have had hair shorter than my shoulders (and usually shorter than my earlobes) for almost 5 decades * * * - And yet, I look great in jeans and a leather jacket. ---

I cleaned, dusted, and vacuumed. Spot’s litter is changed. First load of laundry is in the dryer, second load is sloshing. At the risk of sounding condescending, but browning is not the same as “no pink remaining.” Browning occurs after all the water in the meat is cooked off which is about five minutes after all the pink is gone. I didn’t know the difference until it was pointed out to me recently. ---

This looks easy, inexpensive, and tasty. All good qualities in a recipe. 🙂 Thawing some bulk sausage now to make this. I am currently wearing a skirt. I have enough mobility for undies and cargo pants now, but have found that I quite like my full midi skirts. Its like I’m carrying a blanket that I can wrap around my legs when I get cold. I’m going to buy a full length skirt and might consider adjusting my wardrobe. We still don’t have any squirrels in our yard so tomorrow we are going to go buy some dried corn on the cob to hang on the back fence, far away from my hydrangeas and see if that works. Branches falling on houses are a thing out here so I promised Hubs I wouldn’t have trees planted. I said nothing about bushes and this fall I should be recovered enough to start planting along the front fence. Hubs said he was going to find a painter for my room and it just didn’t happen. Odd how things like that get forgotten when I’m the one pushing for it. I asked Harry if he knows anyone and he said he did but I couldn’t use them now. (Harry is doing OK. He’s spending a lot more time on his mower, rain means nothing anymore, but I honestly think he is just living for his family feud.) Apparently, the brother in Florida who bought that trailer out from us is selling it to the blind brother. The blind brother’s housekeeper will move in after it has been redone and Harry has gotten hooked into spearheading the remodel. The housekeeper doesn’t feel safe in her current apartment when her long distance truck driver husband is on the road. I’ll be doing the transfer paperwork for that transaction and Harry thinks I should charge at least five hundred bucks because they are both loaded and I deserve it for being so patient. Harry’s granddaughter-in-law is a rather crunchy vegan who refuses to cook pork. She will cook a chicken or hunk of dead cow once a week but NO BACON! Harry has plenty of options. He can kick her out and hire a housekeeper who will cook bacon, he can call Tudor’s and have as many orders of bacon he wants delivered to his door, he walk over to family or friends on the block and get bacon there. Heck, he could drive a few miles down the road and buy bacon to cook for himself in one of his own kitchens (small one in the MIL suite). Howdy Y’all! Been a relaxin’ day here at da cave. I even actually cooked and we had suppunch at 3:30 this afternoon. I did go gas up and whilst out went to the Food Kitty and picked up a rutabaga (a big one!) and got a small pack of poke chops. We had both with some succotash, a packaged (don’t judge!) sorta fettucine alfredo side, and corn bread. I also brought home an apple pie from the sto’. It fell in the cart, I swear! We et well, plus leftovers for tomorrow. We also accomplished nappage and day drinkin’. Gotta stave off scurvy and malaria after all. Plus, the biiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. All in all a good day! **MetalMouse** enjoy the ferry rides. **Mollie** glad they made it to their first destination. Big Ed’s looks yummy! I make the very same thing except I call 'em sausage balls. The dang things are so nummy! **Taters** happy prep and paintin’. OK, not happy maybe, but at least hope you get a lot done. **Coppertone** score on the potluck leftovers! I will offer stuff to folks after we have first Sunday brunch so I don’t have many or any leftovers to take home. Two outin’s in a row is much too much for me. We skipped church today because I spent about six hours there yestiddy and was so tahrd. I found my khaki Ex Officio shorts/swimsuit/trousers, a blue Ex Officio shirt, and a Salmon one, in the wash. I wore the Salmon shirt to church today. Gave the shorts/swimsuit/trousers to The Missus for donation, as they’re too big for me now. I’ve ordered a pair of olive green Dockers, and a grey and a green [short-sleeve shirt](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQ4VLXVH?th=1&psc=1). Might be here before irk tomorrow. Also, I ordered a new 110 g Frisbee (due Saturday). Salmon pinwheels and steamed yellow squash will be dinner in a few minutes. ---

His litter box needs replacin’ almost as bad as { _political statement redacted_ }. Well, now he is currently having the zoomies INSIDE the intended replacement litter box, so we’ll see how this goes. ---
