I last wore a dress more than 20 years ago (though I will wear a dress as part of a costume at certain upcoming author events), and that was for formal night on a cruise {For me I actually had a few dresses for a job I had ca. 1997-2000}

I have never used hairspray {I used some for my HS senior portrait, summer of 1971, but probably not since.}
I have worn lipstick once? twice? though I do have a lightly tinted lip balm I’ve used once? twice? {I’ve used lipstick on and off from the 70s to maybe the early 90s??}
I have very infrequently used a tinted base to cover a pimple or surgical wound {nope. never}
I have pencilled my eyebrows three times (at the beginning of chemo) {maybe a couple of times in the 70s?}
I have worn eyeliner as part of a costume {nope, never}
I have worn eye shadow maybe three times {in costume 40 years ago?}
I have used mascara maybe three times {I messed around with it occasionally in the 70s and 80s}
I curled my eyelashes two or three times {nope, never}
I have never used blush {maybe tried it a few decades ago}
I have never used some sort of outliner on my lips {nope, never}
I have never used any other makeup {nope, never}
I have never had fake eyelashes {nope, never}
I have never had fake nails {nope, never}
I have never had a professional manicure {nope, never}
I have had one professional pedicure (in Cambodia, to support an NGO) {Daughter persuaded me to get one once. Once.}
I have never worn “cute shoes” (except heels once as part of a Malibu Barbie costume) {nope, never}
- I do wear jewelry {Wedding ring. Maybe a necklace if I’m gussied up.}
- I do sometimes use nail polish {Not in decades}
- I do use moisturizer (typically 0-30 SPF) {Daily - SPF15}
- I started using hair conditioner some of the time as I’ve acquired more thin, fly-away grey hair {once in a while if I think about it}
- I have tried and don’t like hair mousse {same}
- I have occasionally had bright blue or other color/accents in my hair {not brave enough yet, but I would like to try pink or purple}
- I have had hair shorter than my shoulders (and usually shorter than my earlobes) for almost 5 decades {I’ve gone long a few times, but mostly short because it’s easier.}
- And yet, I look great in jeans and a leather jacket. (well, I own jeans and a leather jacket…}
And so windeth down the weekend. I hope to play in dirt tomorrow.
