Does anyone know what is the oldest known web site in existence? By “oldest”, I don’t just mean which web site has been around the longest, but if there are any sites or pages that were created several years ago but have never been updated since their creation, or at least not within several years? This question came up in an email and I thought I would ask here.

[Paul Jones](http://www.ibiblio.org/pjones/), at the Univ. of North Carolina, has saved a [copy of a webpage](http://www.ibiblio.org/pjones/old.page.html) that [Tim Berners-Lee set up a long time ago](http://www.ibiblio.org/history/).

Well, one of the sites for a palmtop computer I used to use hasn’t been updated in four years and one month now. How’s that?

My [very first website](http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/leathermaker/) is still up, even though I haven’t even had an account with the service for two years, and two years ago, it was out of date. It was made using Word 97, and it looks like all of the links on it are dead.

How long ago were we using that ubbi-board here?
