Seriously… people will attack celebrities for the most inane things. Why exactly can’t she do a commercial endorsement for a fast food chain, something that innumerable other celebrities have done? Because she’s a \*recovering \* anorexic? If it were alcoholism and an ad for Jack Daniels, I could understand your point but since it’s anorexia and an ad for something you need to survive (food in general, not McDonald’s in particular), I’m not seeing the issue. ---

Meh. It’s ironic, and kinda funny, but they’re in the endorsement business, so i don’t think there’s anything necessarily wrong with it. Though perhaps if the one would have had a Big Mac every once in a while… 🆒 ---

Though I wouldn’t necessarily put the Olsen twins in the category of serious actors, you see a lot of this stuff overseas; I remember my surprise at seeing Harrison Ford hawking Japanese cell phones on Japanese TV, in Japanese. I walked around the corner to get a drink, and there on the liquor store wall was a poster with Harrison Ford hugging a giant Kirin Beer bottle. Where it might seem less appropriate for actors of a certain stature to advertise for consumer goods here in the US (Bill Hicks: “What’s the matter, you don’t have enough money, you whore?”) I guess it’s more acceptable and a good way to cash in over there. ---

I always thought eating at McDonalds _is_ a symptim of some kind of mental disorder, which would be a natural for the Olsen twins. ---
