I have obviously been living under a rock, because until this evening, when I went to the site of one of my favorite animators, **mogipbob** , I never even knew this group existed! [http://www.youtube.com/user/Mogipbob#p/search/0/cFQ16KwPXyQ](http://www.youtube.com/user/Mogipbob#p/search/0/cFQ16KwPXyQ) As a musician, I’m pretty well “up” on music and groups, so how this great group missed my attention, I have no clue.😕 Once again, my thanks to **Lurkmeister** for bringing this guy and talent for putting classic (and current) songs to my attention. He’s a hit on the blog. Sure is. Thanks Q ---

You’re a little late here. The band broke up in 1992 and Doug Bennett died in 2004. ---

Doug and the Slugs played a dance in my res in university in 1984. Every once in a while I hear one of their songs on the radio, but then, I’m on Vancouver Island. And that’s all I got for D&TS. Oh, I think I have one of their albums in the back bedroom. Champagne and Bologne? ---

I remember these guys from the early days of videos - this video in particular. [![]( " - YouTube") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwwPmNWQfIY) I think it was on [Night Tracks](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Tracks). I loved that show when it first came out. ---

I also was a big fan of that show hosted by Wolfman Jack! Never missed a show that The Guess Who (another Canadian group, right?) were on! _Midnight Special_, wasn’ it? OMG! I MISS those days and playing my drums to Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s “Takin Care Of Business”! “The Live Five” and I had a regular gig at this place right here in Carroll County, out in a pasture, and the rest of the band used to put down their guitars while me and the drums and the audience just kept singin’. You had to be there, ah reckon! 😉 Thanks, y’all! Quasi ---
