I have done next to nuttin’ today so far. I’ve answered a few emails, entered some case notes and taken a couple of phone calls. It’s quiet. Thus I have decided that’s a good sign maybe I should call it quits earlyish today. I am seriously contemplatin’ a noon departure. So goes the news from swampland. ---

I hope _some_ room will work out for me- I don’t fancy trying to live in a van with two fishtanks and 3 mice, even if I could sell the writeup as an extremely low budget sitcom script. On the upside, it looks like I’ve got a phone interview on monday, and not for the security company either… Something’s got to work out sometime! ---

Assuming that “van” means the same thing in the United States as Great Britain, you are only allowed to live in a van with aquariums if you have killer shock absorbers. 🙂 ---

Howdy from da cave. Just couldn’t see myself stayin’ at irk any longer. Not to worry though, I’m signed in to irk, the big difference bein’ I can be dressed in tshirt and shorts at da cave. So for a couple hours at least I’ll deal with electronic paperirk stuff plus I have some “online trainin’” I’m supposed to get done within the next week so I could do that I suppose. Life is hard. First things first though and that’s N.O.L. I am a bear who lunches! ---

Ugh I has the ick today. waiting for my settlement date, I think it will be earlier than the 16th. Then I need to get my insurance quote, find a title company and get all the other crap done. Back. I was enroute when my crabber changed his return time to 30 minutes earlier. Not a huge deal - I still arrived at the dock about 10 minutes early, and he came in about 15 minutes after his predicted time. We did our entries quick and dirty, and I was on my way. He’s a young guy, so he doesn’t talk and talk and talk and talk like the older dudes. Afterwards, I filled the car, stopped at Lowe’s for 2 broom handles, then went to WalMart for kitty litter and a couple other things. And now I’m finishing a late lunch. \*\*sari \*\*- we always let our realtors suggest the title company - dunno how smart that is, but we’ve never had a problem. Stoopit temp is creeping up on 90°. I am not amused. C’mon autumn!!! ---

Decide to go to the shop and get some cake. Think ‘I’ve not had that tinned sponge pudding in ages- I’ll have that and make custard with it’. Buy it. Get home, realise why I haven’t eaten anything tinned in a while- tin opener is broken. Attempt to open tin with knife. Fail, breaking glass and cutting finger (on glass) in process. Give up. Clear up broken glass. Sulk. ---

I telecommute, except I do it the other way around. I telecommute home each day, to chat with my friends and family and loved ones, every day I’m on the boat. I also telecommute to The Dope. I have yet to visit The Straight Dope physical manifestation, somewhere in Chicago I reckon. ---

FCM the realtor gave me a few but I guess it’s the law, I have to choose. I am looking for one that does Washington county and Anne Arundel county so I can have settlement close to here. The seller won’t be there, she lives in Florida, the mortgage company won’t be there, they are in California. Things sure have changed. I think the settlement can be moved up as early as the 3rd or 4th. I have a million calls to make. At least now Sah-son is showing some interest in moving. He is concerned that my bedroom should be on the first floor so the dog can sleep in my room. Sah-dog won’t do stairs. I told him it’s a little late now as I choose the house with two floors, but we will work it out. The living room could be a bedroom, it has doors to close it off, or maybe if I put the harness and leash on the dog will do the stairs if he feels like he has some support. If I can get settlement early in the month it will be great since the HFH is gone the first two weeks. I can get a lot of my stuff packed and out before she gets back. Last night I dreamed I was packing and ants and mice were getting in the boxes. yuk! ---

“Doing a load of towels” - is that some sort of code or euphemism for some weird gay thing??? :dubious: 😃 Just finished an email to my main handler with a few questions and copies of photos I took of a couple of landing sites. I also got a call from my Dr office to set up a physical - they can’t take me till November!! Yoiks - suddenly it’s a busy office! I am not pleased about that. When I first became a patient, you could get in within days. Now, not so much. Oh well… Time to finish some tea towels. ---
