Ok I have a couple of rolleyes variants: Same smile, rollier eyes: [http://wm40.inbox.com/thumbs/75\_130b49\_1fa2b2d\_oG.gif.thumb](http://wm40.inbox.com/thumbs/75_130b49_1fa2b2d_oG.gif.thumb) Cool smile, rollier eyes: [http://wm40.inbox.com/thumbs/76\_130b48\_492883cf\_oG.gif.thumb](http://wm40.inbox.com/thumbs/76_130b48_492883cf_oG.gif.thumb) I suppose I could also mesh cool with the new rolly eyes or take out some white from cool rolly’s nose. Both attempts are snarkier than the new rolly and less snarky than the old rolly. Cool rolly looks a little too pensive, possibly annoyed or -er- dubious. Ah well, 1st shot… ---

The problem with all those static rolleyes is that they look like somebody’s looking up and thinking about something. I always enjoyed the animated rolleyes. _blink blink… roll_ I don’t suppose we’ll ever get that one back. ---

Where the lines forming his eyes meet the line forming the outline of his head, that triangle looks to me like furrowed eyebrows. He looks to me like he is scowling and shouting at someone. ---

I’m not happy with the new smilies, especially rolleyes, but the old ones weren’t wonderful, either. ---

Or even start from old rolleyes himself. All I did to make the new version is resize old rolly to 16x16, cut out the border and replaced it with the border from :D, and then sharpened and recolored it. ---

I adapted the eyes from old rolleyes (FTR). Maybe I’ll give it another shot. ---
