# OMG. What do I do now?

I have MalwareBytes on my computer. A box came up today saying it has an upgrade for me. That was fine but when I clicked OK for English, it came up in another language – I believe it might be German. I keep clicking the box on the right (starting with “Wil”) and that does seem to stop it but that same box with those two choices keeps coming up and I’m afraid to click on the left box for fear everything will be in this other language. How can I get out of that and get all back to English? Help please!

OMG – I said that wrong! The box on the left says “Weiter” and on the right is “Abbrechin”. And I can’t get that box to go away!

So if I understand you, Malwarebytes is now all in German. You don’t mean a separate program is talking to you in German right? If it’s just malwarebytes, looking at my copy, if you open it and click on the Gear button, that is Settings. The pull down menu on the right lets you pick a language. You should be able to change it back to English.

If Quimby’s fine suggestion doesn’t work, shut down the computer and restart it. Then do a System Restore back to a point before doing the upgrade.
Or learn German. 😃

If you haven’t actually installed it yet you should be able to go to Task Manager and End the Task. Right click on your Task Bar to open Task Manager.

System Restore sounds like a fine idea too. I’ve seen that screen but have no idea how to get to it. They don’t call me a computer virgin for nothing!

No need to system restore the whole computer. Uninstall Malwarebytes from your, presumably, english Windows Control Panel, then redownload and install a fresh Malwarebytes
