Dude, this dentist is junk. I won’t even go in a dental office un-drugged. Even for a cleaning I Valium up. You need to find a pain free dentist. They exist. Hope you feel better, nonetheless. ---

Well, you’re going to cringe (and probably hate me) when I tell you that for fillings and anything less than surgeries I don’t do pain meds. The dentist tells the nurses it’s because I used to play rugby, but noooope… It’s because I’m a wuss when it comes to having the bottom half of my face numbed up for half a day. The last time I did Novacaine, I couldn’t feel anything up to my eyelid… which wouldn’t quite close, and had tears leaking out. For hours. I took myself out for breakfast to distract myself, and I couldn’t taste anything. Not even the bacon! Drugs or bacon? No contest. ETA: That round of drugs was because the dentist had screwed up oral surgery and called me back in and said I needed an extensive re-do, but he wouldn’t charge for it… sheesh! ---

When I had my first implant installed, the oral surgeon gave me a prescription for the good drugs, Tylenol and Codeine. That was so good, I decided I could easily make a habit of it, and I have avoided it since. It felt way too good. Ibuprofen and wine are quite enough. ---

Turns out it was for the new nursing home built a couple hundred yards away that had access from “another street” that wanted Babcock as the legal address. There was a slight battle of wills with the USPS so they put up that box. After a few years the USPS finally gave in and delivered the mail right to their door through their drive ---- off Cemetery Lane. Putting Mom in a home on Cemetery Lane -------- yeah, I see their point. 🙂 ---
