It would probably be more accurate to call it an “anonymous” address. It’s like knowing a street address for a house but not knowing who owns it and/or lives there. I watch a lot of crypto scam reports on Coffeezilla, and usually a person gets tagged with a particular crypto wallet by posting a link to the wallet on social media (usually to brag about it), most often an influencer of some kind. But yeah, calling it an “unknown address” is sloppy writing. ---
