Frankly I think such evidence would be very hard to obtain. How would they know unless they had a definite non-anti-semitic suspect or if the perp publicized taking responsibility for the killing? And if he did publicize it he could very well do it in an obscure Arabic language pro Hamas venue which the Detroit police would not be following. ---

Honestly, if I got bored and decided that being a murderer would be an interesting career change, I think a community that didn’t lock its doors would be a pretty efficient place to start out. What a terrible, disgusting tragedy. I must confess that one of my first reactions was “Damn, I hope the killer wasn’t Jewish”. But per his wife, he was apparently radicalized by “conservative talk radio”. ---

Though I’ll point out that the article doesn’t say that antisemitism wasn’t the motive; it just says that there’s no evidence for it. ---

Articles I see now have the police implying that they are pretty certain the motive was something other than anti-semitism, vs that they had no evidence of anti-semitism. IOW, they know the motive but aren’t releasing it yet. ---
