A few years ago, a woman came into my store looking for the biggest wicker basket we sold. I pointed one out and asked her what she needed it for since someone came in a few hours earlier and asked me the same question. She said it was for a “moses themed baby shower”. I remember thinking “wait what? what are you planning to do with the baby? you know what the basket was for, right?” It reminds me of when [Michael Scott was watching Million Dollar Baby](https://youtu.be/UcqK4vypbC8?t=70). ---

A pair of 13-year-old girls [beat a man to death](https://atlantablackstar.com/2024/07/28/13-year-old-girl-sucker-punches-u-s-marshal-during-pretrial-hearing-on-murder-charges-in-connection-with-2023-beating-death-of-64-year-old-d-c-man/) as a 12-year-old records the attack on her phone. They claimed they were forced to do it by a 4th person who has not been identified, but their nonchalant attitude afterwards seems to belie the “forced” aspect. ---

Firstly, ick. The level of ick may depend on how “juvenile” the juvenile in question was which does not appear to be being reported, but still: ick. Secondly, for those feverishly looking for a political party to tar with this particular brush, Roberts is an independent. Sorry. Thirdly, she (and her attorney) protest her innocence. We’ll see.
