Same with me; I sent a donation to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center after a friend’s mother died. And then I started to get solicitations from them. I told them to stop. ---

It’s literally the same as arguing that because you carved the image of a cross onto the stock of an assault rifle, any attempt to deprive you of carrying it wherever you want to go is infringing on your freedom of religion. ---

Turns out the jingle is NOT the worst thing about “Kars 4 Kids”. Granted, those ads were quite nonspecific as to what they were going to do 4 Kids with those Kars. However, given the diversity and modern clothing of the happy-looking Kids in the nationally broadcast ads, I think a reasonable consumer would assume it was something more…ecumenical…than funding trips to Israel for ultra-Orthodox teenagers in one particular town in New Jersey. The State of California agrees, and has ordered them to desist from airing commercials which don’t clearly describe the general nature of their organization.
