When I meet The Being Supreme, I really want to be in line behind some Evangelical/Military(let’s say…Air Force)/Church Lady/Republican couple. So I can listen to them kiss ass and start listing how hard they worked, so of _course_ they should get into heaven… I have a strong hope that God/Bob/YHWH would start snickering, then chortling, and as Jimmy-Joe Junior and Judy Johnson finished their litany of prissiness they’d be met with a guffaw that shakes the very rafters of the universe. ---

Lurie is a purported ex-atheist from Israel who turned to religion based on “logic, science and probabilities”. He’s convinced that atheism is the fount of evil and must be rooted out. From the book blurb: “Atheism Destroys is the second installment of Barak Lurie’s Atheism Kills series. Whereas Atheism Kills focused primarily on how a world without God has led to horrific mass killings and other brutalities, Atheism Destroys focuses on how godlessness destroys our most treasured institutions and values: free speech, family, relationships, and even courage. Lurie shows how godlessness has been the primary destroyer of many of our liberties. Reminds me that I once read in a biography of P.G. Wodehouse that the book that most terrified him was _When It Was Dark._ Basically, archaeologists discover Christ’s tomb in Jerusalem and dum dum Dummmmmm…there was a body/skeleton in it. This made Christianity collapse almost overnight, and civilization is teetering on the brink. I found it laughable. If there’s no god, why, people will do just _any_thing. Right. Well, it was written in 1903. ---
