I’ve gotten this in Mexico (olive skin, non-majority name). "But where are you _from?"_ "No, but where were you _born?"_ “But what’s your citizenship?” “Let’s just have your friend register for the hotel/car/tour because she has an American name and we’re not allowed to rent to/register/sign up people who aren’t Americans.” My family has been in the US for more than 100 years. ---

The Finnish Prime Minister, Sanna Marin, is in New Zealand as part of a trade delegation. She met with the NZ Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern. I just adore those women. So smart and gracious. It is lovely to see. There was another incident after the US Soccer team beat Iran, with a reporter and Tyler Adams and he too was so smart and gracious, it gives me hope for the future. ---
