Within a few minutes there were huge plumes of black smoke _spewing_ (like, with pressure behind them) going high up into the air. In that picture, the visible flames had just appeared as that first fire truck was pulling over. I happened to know it was an HVAC repair van\* so my guess for the ignition was either a blow torch put away still hot or a li-on battery exploding and the black (sooty looking) plumes of smoke being acetylene tanks. Turns out he got the brazing equipment out right away, so I’m thinking a propane or butane based refrigerant. As for the ignition source, the current theory is a battery. Oh, and that’s an airport on the left side of the picture. Parking where that guy is parked will get your car towed (right away too, like, as soon as a tow truck can get there to pick it up), even if it’s not on fire. \*that driver has done work for me and his dad is in my store on a daily basis ---
