The trainer of the Kentucky Derby winning horse, which tested positive for banned drugs (the horse, not the trainer), says that he and his horse are victims of cancel culture. Having lived in Missouri for 20 years, this thinking is all too common: > It moved. It was in the woods. It was during turkey season. So it must have been a turkey. So I fired. Substitute “deer” for “turkey” and the result is the same, but the range is longer. ---

Not to dismiss this guy from being responsible for knowing what he’s shooting at, but there are about 1000 firearms accidents involving hunters each year. (Side note, I think about half of them are hunters shooting themselves.) This guy is clearly a bad hunter; unfortunately what he did is disturbingly commonplace. ---

I’ll also point out that stock photo was taken in the Fall. It’s Spring now. Wrong year, wrong time of year. The hits just keep coming. Good thing our MO hero wasn’t hunting turkeys with a bump stock. Or else the hits would really have kept on coming. ---
