That practice ended one fine day when an octopus decided to chomp down on him and he ended being out for several days with a fever and a hand swollen like a grapefruit. ALL octopuses are venomous, every single one. Even if most won’t kill you, they’ll all hurt. Doesn’t pay to be overly casual with them. ---

I work in Tacoma, it’s not nearly as bad as it used to be, but some days it definitely still smells like Tacoma. ---

They always said the city’s name was accurate. I’ve lived in Tacoma all my life except for seven years in ~~Tibet~~ Montana, and the bolded part above is an understatement. Between the smelter, the pulp mills and the stockyards there were times one had to chew the air to get it down. ---

Right “all but three are seniors…” = the three are **not** seniors who would have been at the ceremony. (I see now there were other damages beyond the 4K in toilets. Was worried about the low cost-effectiveness of the vandalism) ---

I imagine they were juniors who joined the seniors in crime, but whose punishment can’t include being deprived of participation in a graduation ceremony that they weren’t going to be in anyway.
