The stupid MFer _is_ the news in this one, or at least the headline writer, and the editor who didn’t catch this: [# ‘Catastrophic’ reactor failure ignites large blaze at Pittsburgh power substation, officials say](https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/25/us/pittsburgh-power-substation-fire-brunot-island/index.html) Turns out the “reactor” is “a specialized transformer” according to the Duquesne spokesperson. Now, maybe the spokesbot did use the word “reactor”, although you’d hope someone in [checks] her line of work would know better. But how many of you, reading that headline, would have immediately thought “Nuclear reactor catastrophically failed!!!” I ask? ---

Indeed, why a substation? But my knee-jerk reaction got as far as “catastrophic reactor failure” and blew up. Didn’t even realize it was just a substation till I read the article. ---
